Music Request Thread (Don't forget the rules)

Link Thread Closed
Torchkas edit: You're allowed to make any type of request you were allowed to do before requesting was cancelled. Providing MIDIs would be helpful, but isn't a requirement. You could request a composition in a certain setting for example, just note that these kinds of requests won't be taken that quickly.

-----------------------

S.C.O.R.P.I.O.N. Edit : A good format to use for the request would be this. It isn't required, but does keep your request organized:

Song : [Insert Song Name]
SPC/MP3/Youtube: [Insert Appropriate Link]
MIDI : [Insert MIDI Name] (If available. Isn't required, but much appreciated by the porters)
Addmusic : [Only use the following: "4.05/HuFlungDu","M","K"]
Sampled : [Yes/No]

Comment : [Insert anything else here]

I will also stress the Importance of the rules.

-----------------------

We used to have one of these, and I think now is a good time to bring it back.

Here, you can request music--be it a port or a composition. Please make sure you have read our forum rules before posting here. As well, please take note of the following guidelines:

Rules

a) When requesting a port, PLEASE provide a MIDI file. Not everyone can port by ear. It is your job to supply the necessary sources to said request.
b) As it says in the rules, being specific with your request will get it fulfilled faster and will be ultimately better for you and whoever takes on the request.
c) Constantly nagging about requests not being fulfilled or making multiple/non-specific requests won't go down well with the community and might get you banned.
d) ONLY make one request at a time! This is to prevent an overload on the porting community.
e) Please include an SPC file of a song you have ported on request (Whenever that applies).
f) Do not request something overly complex (e.g. something with lyrics, loud/fast Rock music, songs with more than 8 channels, etc...).
g) Finally, please be as thankful or appreciative as possible toward those who take on your requests.

Thanks.

Commence your requesting!
This isn't exactly a request from me, but what about supplying a SPC?

Well, this music exists in AddMusic M form, so how about a version in AddMusic 4 + sample bank form?

Basically, I want the Wario Land 4 Crescent Moon Village music. You can find an AddMusic M version here:

http://www40.atwiki.jp/addmusic/?plugin=ref&serial=71

There was also a MIDI, but VG Music doesn't seem to have it any more unfortunately. It'd be much appreciated, and if anyone did convert it, they'd get full credit.

Edit: If you want to port it by ear:

As for Mario's Nightmare Quest? Well, it's currently on Fusion Gameworks, ROM Hacking.net or the GCN at the moment.

Good point. I've added it to the guidelines list.

Oh, well that is going to help, but I mean what about someone supplying the SPC of the song if it is from a SNES game?

It greatly depends on if you want it sampled or if the person fulfilling the request can match pitches. If you want a sampled port then that would be something to give but other than that I'd suggest a MIDI.
I think a post layout goes here somewhere...

Supplying both a midi and .spc/.nsf (if applicable) does help for those who don't know the original.
For the benifit of all those looking for requests, may as well throw in the link to the filtered requests page.
