How come this song doesn't work in BSNES?

I got it from the music section, it's the Final Fantasy Castle Pandemonium port.

I can't find any instances which should crash the music engine, and it at least starts the song with the header added, but crashes afterwards. Oddly enough, my other port of this song does work fine in BSNES.

What do I need to edit to make it work in accurate emulators?

As for Mario's Nightmare Quest? Well, it's currently on Fusion Gameworks, ROM Hacking.net or the GCN at the moment.
Well I took a look at the txt file and the first thing I noticed was

$EF $13 $00 $00
$F1 $47 $63 $01
$F2 $20 $30 $30

the byte after $F1 has to be $05 or less.
I think a post layout goes here somewhere...
Ah. Keep in mind I'm not a music porter, and I just liked the sound of the song. So what exactly would I need to change to make it work how it's meant to?

When youre looking for echo problems, check the txt files, look for $F1.

The value after $F1 for HFD's addmusic should be $00 - $05 by default. Anything more most likely won't work. If you see something like $7F $08 $19 etc... change them to $05 preferably.

You know, everything that will break music is addressed in the readme. Why does no one read that?
Because lazy
