(I wasn't sure if SFX questions go here, but it seems to make sense).

Has any sampled SFX been made? Because I'm sure many people would enjoy SFX from other 16-bit games. How would one go about making new SFX for SMW? It's not usually payed attention to in the world of SMW hacking, so I just wanted some sort of sort of guidance and/or direction to go with it. I'm also wondering what has been made, etc. Just general SFX discussion.
Unfortunately, with the music engines we currently have, there is no good way to put custom samples in custom sound effects. AddmusicM can technically do it, but AddmusicM fails at custom sound effects anyway (you're pretty much limited to 4 total if you want them to be global, and you have to put them in every song you use), and Addmusic 4.05 can insert plenty of custom sound effects, but you can't put samples in them. This may change in the future, but right now, while it is possible to port sound effects from other games (see Koyuki and MidiGuy's SMAS/YI pack), it isn't really possible to sample them.
