It's actually pretty annoying, especially that move that killed me. :P

Nice boss,Ladida,i have some questions to you:

1)You learned that boss with Carol?
2)That Boss is layer 1 or layer 2?
3)The boss need levelASM,layer 3 for effects?
4)And the skill controls?How work?
5)The boss' defeat is exaclty the same of Carol?
1) no, I only took the idea from carol. Everything else is my handiwork ^_^

2) the people are layer 2, the red sphere thing they're on is layer 3, and the sphere you hit is a sprite. btw, the ground is also made of sprites, and the skull/lava/beam/heart are layer 1

3) levelasm was needed, since DMA's to VRAM are not possible within sprite code.

4) Select for the rose, R for the shield, and Up+X/Y for the vine.

5) Dunno, I don't have carol's boss demo, so i haven't defeated it. I only went off what i saw on youtube vids.
Well, I decided to start working on levels.



My only progress so far :< (You start in this room).


From here you would go outside, where the "real" level begins. It'll be a basic (Japanese) neighborhood. I may/may not show pics when I finish it (this applies for all levels I make), though I know I won't show any vids (they take too long) (this also applies for all levels).

Pretty cool! What about using a bigger player GFX (for example 64x32?),
Because for now he/she looks a bit weird with the one near the PC.

I meant 64x32.

Anyway, if she is a doll, make she still be 32x16.
That would make her look ridiculously squashed.
If I made her 16x32 (assuming this is what you mean), then I'd have to up the size of pretty much everything else, which I can't really do due to limited space.

16x24 is a decent size, IMO.
I always was always mixing these two X and Y values.
X is first, so...
32x64.
No real progress, just showing another song I ported:

That would be a good song for a final castle or something. Anyway, this hack is looking pretty good so far; it uses some pretty advanced ASM. Good work.
I was actually planning to use it for the credits; reason being that I won't be using any Rozen Maiden stuff in any levels besides the first (since the main character is from Rozen Maiden)


dont mind me, just showing that this isn't dead. I promised a summer release so I'm punishing myself.

After this I think it's time I tackle levels.

In the video i heard Lucky Star (I think) and other anime openings which is AWESOME. Damn I think you watch much much more anime than I do ^.^. Stein from Soul Eater and the music had a bunch of other kinds of anime music mixed in it. The boss looks great and this has anime which makes me support this hack!.#thp{^_^}Nothing else to say about the hack itself but that it's great!
