Oh hello. Welcome to Paper Mario infinite battles 5.

Get ready for the rules! Go away if you don't like them.

PAPER MARIO - INFINITE BATTLES Rules & Guidelines

HOW TO SIGN UP
Its as simple as posting here saying you want to join. There are a max of 10 slots available. If all 10 positions are filled, then just wait until someone drops out and try again.

GETTING STARTED/HOW TO PLAY
When you join, you start with 10 HP, 5 FP, 5 BP, NO COINS whatsoever, 1 ATTACK, no SP, no Star Points and 0 DEFENSE. You will also be equipped with a hammer and jumping boots.

The host of the game creates a battle for the team to defeat. You may use your one of your attacks, an item OR Equip/Unequip a badge/weapon during your teams turn. The host will then execute your moves and then enemies move. You then may use one of your commands again. Try to get as far as you can. The game will end when the entire team is defeated. When a battle is won, and new one will start up. Between every 5 battle you will be able to visit the local village where you can buy items and badges and/or sleep at the inns to restore your stats.

HOW YOUR STATS WORK

mariocool1999{1} LV.5{2}
HP: 12/15{3}
FP: 10/15{4}
Attack: 3{5}
Defense: 1{6}
SP: 2/4{7}
Star points: 47{8}
Status: Normal{9}
Coins: 201{10}

BP:2/5{11}

{1}Your Name. Self Explanatory.
{2}Your level. This will go up by 1 when you get 100 Star Points (SP). When you level up, you get a chance to increase one of the following base stats;
Increase HP by 5.
Increase FP by 5.
Increase BP by 5.
Increase ATTACK by 1.
Increase DEFENSE by 1
{3}This is your Health. The number on the left tells you how much health you have left. The number on the right tell you what your maximum health can be. If your Health reaches 0, you will be KO'd and will not be able to preform any actions.
{4}This is your Flower Power. FP points can be used for special badge attacks. If you don't have enough FP, you cannot preform the attack.
{5}This is your Attack. The higher the number the more damage you will do to an enemy. Attacks are preformed by either Jumping or using a hammer on an enemy and are calculated like this;

Jump:A-D + A-D
Hammer:A*2 - D
A=Your Attack
D=Enemy Defense

Both have their Pros and Cons. Jumping on an enemy may do less damage depending on their defense, but you are able to reach any enemy you want. Using a hammer on an enemy may do a bit more damage, but you can only attack the enemy in the front of the line.

{6}Your Defense. The higher the number, the less damage an enemy can do to you.
{7}Star Power: These are special attacks that can be preformed during the game. They can fairly powerful and can help you and the team out a lot. You can only refill this stat by sleeping at an inn. A new power is gained every 10 levels. Currently you have access to the following star powers:
Refresh (1 SP) - Heals 5 HP and 5 FP
Lullaby (2 SP) - Makes every enemy get the sleep status for 3 turns (If they can)
Fire blast(2 SP) - Deals 2 fire damage to all enemies.
Chill Out(3 SP) - Drops the temp in the room and drops enemy attack by 3.
Ice Hurricane-(4 SP) - Freezes all enemies in the battle for 3 turns(if they can be) and does 3 damage.
Super Refresh- (2 SP) - Heals you 10 HP and 10 FP.
Radioactive Wipeout- (3 SP) - Takes away Radioactive status of enemies. Also, to prevent easy battles, does not work with ice hurricane.
???
???
???

{8} These is your Star Points (or experience points). When this number reaches 100, you level up allowing you to increase your stats. If you die during battle you will lose half of your star points.
{9}Your current status. Normal means your alive and kicking while KO'd means you down for the count. May also Include Sleep, Poison, burn and other effect that certain attack may have on you.
{10}This is your current coin count. You can use coins to buy stuff at the villages when you are in one. You gain coins by defeating enemies.
{11} Badge Points. This stat is located in the badges area. All badges require a certain amount of points to be equipped. If you do not have enough BP's, you cannot use the badge. You can raise you BP points by increasing it with a level up. NOTE: You may not stack more than 3 badges of the same kind.

---------------------------

If you ALL lose, it's not game over, but you fight a horrid being. Win, and you get 250 coins and 50 star points and a fully heal. Lose, it's GAME OVER. For real.

Bosses are every 10 battles. Mini-bosses are every 5 battles.

Enemies will drop items 5% of the time.
Enemies will drop badges 3%.

If I forget to update the game, please PM me. If you have any questions, ask away.
If no one attacks for 24 hours, then the enemy(s) will attack WITH NO WARNING.

New Rule Playbook updated 2-25-12

I also make sure I never make this thread die unless if game over is reached or... something else happens.

First reply, and signing up.

Let's see if I can remain active this time.

Also, I like how this goes closer to Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door than to the original Paper Mario.

What? It was my first Paper Mario game. And besides, refresh and lullaby are from the first. Some elements are from the first. Anyways...

I'd like to sign up please!

Just to clarify, we can still jump and hammer right? And stuff like that? Are all the other rules from the other game the same?
ME TOO

Cuz TTYD rules

(and i like this sorta forum game#w{=)})

---------------------------------------------------
And if I can, jump on the gloomba with 2 hp, please
---------------------------------------------------
Eh, sign up as usual.

This is getting redundant with the bad time keeping, resets and inability to create variety and chalenge, but whatever. Maybe you'll do better.
Stop! Hammer time! (Bad pun, sorry.)

Either way, Hammer the Gloomba.
Can I sign up please?
@Bleaghhh Yes, you can still do that. And yes, most of the rules are the same.
@Shadowfire It's a goomba. Not a gloomba.
@MuffinRobot Sure!
@Henix. Can't do that. You have to hammer the first target. Oh well.

Teh enemies:

Defensive Goomba [1 HP 1 ATK 1 DEF]
Gloomba [4 HP 2 ATK 0 DEF]

Actions:
Henix tries to hit the gloomba, but instead hit the defensive goomba because it's first in the line.

Shadowfire Jumps on the goomba for 1+1 damage!
Goomba was defeated! (No reward for you!)

The DEF. goomba took 1 damage!

The DEF. goomba headbonk'd henix!
Henix took 1 damage.

The gloomba is glowing!

I haven't even played Paper Mario and I know that's not how it works.

Anyway, hammer the green koopa.

Which means that if you're arguing with someone who has played Paper Mario, you're the one who's wrong.
The one in front is the one to get hammered (except with badges, but that's not relevant right now). It has always been this way.
Hammah da green koopa
I played through EVERY paper mario game, and that is wrong, Henix.
Also, when 3-5 people post, I shall post what happened next.
Well:

Actions:

MuffinRobot jumped on the yellow koopa for 0+1 damage!

Phenolatukas jumped on the yellow koopa for 1+1 damage!

Henix hammered the green koopa for 1 damage!

ShadowFire hammered the green koopa for 1 damage!

The green koopa hit Henix for 2 damage. The red koopa hit Bleaghhh for 2 damage. The yellow koopa is struggling to get up from its impending doom... The blue koopa hit Phenolatukas for 2 damage.
