Yes.

Are 2 people allowed to "team up" to make 1 submission?

Hmm, I had to think about this one but I have to say no. Since this is a short level contest I don't
really see a need to team up here. Feel free get resources from others but only one name can be tagged to
the final entry.

Just to be sure, you can use custom music, correct?

Of course.

So, as you said to include screen 00, and it's 10 screens decimal, the limit is screen 09?

Yes, if you are only going to use one lunar magic level then you should stop on screen 09. Keep in mind though you can use multiple lunar magic levels it just all has to sum up to 10 (0A in hex) screens or less.

Yep.
I think I'm going to join this.
Here is my terrible entry.

It is called "Pianoforte Pass".

Couple of questions I have:

1. I have used screens 00-09 in the main level and one screen in a sub-level to make that 0A in total. Is that fine?

2. After completing the level can there be a seperate "thanks for playing" one screen level like Yoshi's House?

Can the level have in-between 00-0A screens, instead of 0A exact?
@Ripperon-X: He said 10 screens or less, meaning yes, it can be.
What he said's confusing, but the limit's 09 screens.

Length can be only 10 (0A in Hex) screens max (keep in mind screens start at 00)

How in hell do you even think he means 09, he clearly said 10/0x0A.
I've been working on my level, just trying to come up with things, and now I have the perfect idea! Mwahahaha! (Evil laugh directed to other participants. You know, in case you didn't catch that)
I'm done with my entry. It's not anything big really. It's called "Infested grassland". I know it's a generic title, but I had no idea. Also, read the Readme, too.

Are we allowed to use Layer 3 background?
My entry, Pisces. The reason for the level name should be quite obvious. I had so much fun with the gimmick, I ended up maxing out the screen limit because I had quite a bit to pack in there.
This sounds fun, I guess I'll join.

Also, I would like to help judge.

• Can be vanilla, chocolate, water. (I will not favor one over the other!)

In other words yes, you can.

Depending on if I have enough time, I may try this out myself. A cash prize definitely sounds interesting.
Sorry for the delay guys okay let’s get started…

Alright let’s clarify if this was my total level then it would be only 3 screens long. That’s why I said 00 counts as a screen I didn’t want people thinking this would only count as 2.

Now say I add this sub level:

Now the total is 4 screens 00+ 01+02+ 00 = 4 (each of the double digit numbers represent a screen)
Hope that clears that up.

Remember 00 counts as a screen, so 00-09 equals 10 screens and the sub level would increase that to 11. So shorten the level by one screen and your good.

Sure, you can add another level (that is separate from your contest level) on the OW map for that purpose.

Sure it can be shorter, in fact I encourage it! That is one of the main things this contest is about, being a short yet sweet level.

Err… which is it? Do you want to judge or compete? You can’t do both.

Alright the entries have started coming in (yah!) so I'm going to use my second post to start a list of all the entries.

Keep em coming!
October 27th? I think that's enough time for me to make a good level; so I'll take part in this as well.
OK, time to open up LM again and change stuff.
I'll join this. Not sure what level I will make, but it will possibly involve some layer 2 shenanigans.
OK, I have finished my entry. Here it is:

Mario's Short Journey

Enjoy! :)
If I have time, I may try this out. If by some miracle I do win, I'd probably just give away the prize anyway. No promises though, I don't know why, but when I promise to make something hacking related, it never gets done (or done well).
