In an error by Microsoft, the company has marked Google Chrome as malware. According to the article a new virus definition file was updated today stating that Chrome is a form of malware and needed to be removed. If people actually did go through with the update, they would have removed Chrome entirely.
(For those that are wondering, it was only Chrome that was marked as malware, Chromium was not.)

Well, at least it was an accident. Shame you can't say the same about Trend Micro (nothing but false positives)
