Hello, and welcome to my hack thread. This is a hack I'm working for some time already now, the name's Lunar Search (until I find a better name). The history? Still in progress, I will reveal when it's done. You can know some things about it looking at the title and title screen. Well, now I really haven't much to talk about, so screenshots:

Im digging the vanilla feel to this hack, even though some exgfx has being used. The colours of the levels suit the levels very nicely! :3

Maxodex: Thanks!
1UPdudes: Thanks, guy! I always try to make the palletes fit the levels.
EvilGuy: Thanks! I'm glad people like my palletes.
Well, level 3's on progress, this week I'll show some screenies of it.

This is looking really great. It just goes to show that SMW has some nice graphics when given the right palettes. Your palette-work is great.
Just a small suggestion -- you might want to use png screenshots.

That's awesome, you did a great work with the palettes and the ExGFX.
But I'd change that "LIFES" to "LIVES" in the status bar !

...Changed.
Oh, and thanks Lui37, andy_k_250 and MarioFan22! Now I will post screenshots in PNG. (strange... I thought it was right (the screenshots and status bar))

..Is there any particular reason for the score to be coloured differently randomly?
That's really irritating me a lot and I'm sure other people with some sort of OCD will DIE because of it.
Also the Coins -** looks like you had a negative amount of coins to me, but that of course may just be me.

This looks really good. I like the Vanilla GFX and how you mixed them. Your design is looking superb right now too. I think I'll be following this one.

Yay for post 300!
Hotsos120: Thanks!
Anyway, I have made some progress. I've finished one level and started another. The first one is a (mysterious) sand cave, introducing green turn blocks, that are smashable from below if Mario is not in it's small form. It will be a very important place later in the hack, but I'm not revealing why. There's also a tropical sky level, the one I started. It will be the first level featuring Yoshi, and it's commands will be explained there. Some screenies of them:
Level 3

Level 4

The Y is the temporary marker for the Yoshi Coins. I'm still thinking about what to use to replace this counter.

A great semi-vanilla hack. Very nice work.
Tip: This hack is very funny and to make it even more funny, make custom bosses.

Looks great so far. I like how this hack gives out a vanilla-ish feel. Even with some ExGFX. Looks cool so far.

I love the FG, the one where its a cross between the giant mushroom platforms and the regular FG. It is really cool looking. The rest of these levels are looking great too. Liking what I'm seeing man, keep it up!

I really like the look of these levels. The sky level FG is cool, and I like how you put goombas in the ground in the first screenies.

/Grate: Thanks. I don't understand how this hack is funny, but yeah, going to use custom bosses.
Woormer21: Thanks guy!
Hotsos120: Yeah, it is. It's a FG change I made for sky/athletic levels. Thanks!
Lui37: Thanks!
MarioFan22: Thanks! That cave pallete was made in 40-50 mins, and it is one of my best palletes so far in my opinion.
I have finished level 4, soon I will post some screens of it and the level 5, a Beach Ghost Cabin.

I've seen these pictures and I really liked it, the colors are brightful and they have an special effect that makes you feel in a Mario game and from the pictures I see that these levels have a good design I like it. Good Job!
