Tip: If you give a muncher tile custom graphics, it will still act like a coin when a silver P-switch is active, whether it looks like a coin or not. So make sure to use ExAnimation if there's a silver P-switch in the area.

Hey there, I decide to open a thread of my side hack, I started to working in the hack for a choconilla (like my old hack [first world vanilla and second world chocolate]) contest in a spanish forum (not our subforum) but the guy who made it is not in the forum anymore for some problems, so I'll have more 'freedom' now, some days ago I added music and HDMA to the levels.

Ok... like my friend says "shut up and show all you have now!" (no, he isn't a thief).

I have some screenshots and 3 videos.

First Level
Second Level
Yellow Switch Palace

Note: the videos and the screenshots are a bit outdated because now the levels have HDMA and music.

Oh, I forgot to mention this, I try to make all the music of the hack so when I realease the full version I'll put a folder with my ports :P

Extra info about the hack:
-This hack don't have any touhou reference, I know... the name sounds like touhou xD
-It will have custom graphics in some levels (or sublevels) so it isn't completely vanilla.
-The hack has a plot but it's in spanish, later I'll translate it to english.

That's all for now guys, feedback would be appreciated :D

Edit: I need some suggestions of music for the levels, I plan to use these two ports but I don't know if fits in the levels... the first one is for the first level and the second one for the third, I need one more for the second level...

Sorry about my bad and very limited english, I still learning it at school .-.

I've seen the videos and screens of this in the SS&V thread. The palettes are beautiful and I love the night time theme I'm seeing in this hack. The OW and level design looks awesome too.
I'm really liking the screenshots. Nice level design and an excelent submap. I'll be following this.
I remember seeing these levels on Youtube; but yeah this hack is looking amazing so far. (I defiantly like that switch Palace level)
Gotta say its a great idea for the whole hack to be night themed. Really creates a great atmosphere in the levels.
I must say I really like the dark feel of this hack.
The level design is pretty nice and I really like the Yellow switch palace, that music from aLttP really suits that level!
Also I like the way you put the midway points.

I've seen this hack around in the SS&V thread and I love what I've been seeing. I'll be following this one now that it has a thread.
lolmich

...dammit.

Ahh, I'm just kidding, don't worry. ;)

Anyway, I'm really liking the looks of this hack so far. I like the consistent nighttime theme, as well as the great use of SMW's graphics.

Can't wait to see more. :)
Looks pretty cool so far. I really like the nightime palettes in this hack. This hack gives a nightly feel to it which is cool.

Let me guess. If you beat the hack (or get all exits), everything will turn daytime. (?)
Thanks everyone, I really appreciated the good comments :D

No, when you beat the hack everything turns normal but it still night, Mario goes to sleep after the adventure :P (I know... isn't good but meh...)

Ok, I don't want to waste the post... there is two screenshots of the 3rd level:

The middle of the level.

Generic cloud sub-level, don't know why in this part the sound effects sounds odd, it's like a pitch problem with the music but I'm not too sure.

Those look good. Creepy sublevel haha
Small preview of the first castle

What do you think guys?
Wow, that's a really dark castle. Nice job.
What is the music in that castle? It seems so familiar???

Anyway, The palette is great and I like how you got slopes in your castle. Really helps with making a more varied castle level as in most cases castles do not have many slopes. :P

Great work as always! :3
thanks to both :D, and the music is from zelda alttp is used in the dark world dungeons
The music fits perfectly with the dark feel of the castle!
The castle looks great so far; and I love the music choice for it as well.
Good music, good design and good palette. I like the looks of this so far, keep it up!
Some screenshots #w{=3}

Grinders, just grinders :P

The enemies always hits me after take the screenshot :(

Yay for the boos! and the eerie too! :D

Oh no... that guy...

Reset door :P

Near the boss

Snow world! (actually, is a mountain, the levels are on the top) it's still WIP, later I'll change the palette (maybe not), add sprites and all that fun stuff :)

Comments?
