It was on the front page of my newspaper (Metro, because it's free and I'm a cheap bastard) today. Never seen something like this making it into the paper, never mind front page. Guess Wikipedia really got people interested in this.

According to this, SOPA is NOT dead! It's just sleeping until it comes back at February.
If this bill passes, people will go Insane because Youtube has been taken out...
Frankly, lead to some violence and protest, maybe even BlackMailing the Congress to execute/veto the Bill

Not to Mention this bill will make the Economy grow slower, I can understand the companies that support the Bills because of Piracy, just remove websites like Piratebay.org, etc and we're fine for the rest of our lives

I signed it as well...
After this website went dark for yesterday, I think that the internet protesters and businesses who oppose the bill will never win. Each time the Judiciary Committee tries to vote on the bill, they fucking procrastinate, putting it off to the next day they feel like voting it.
People celebrate because the bill is shelved, but NO. It was brought back up again.
This bill will NOT die, and it will be passed.

I hope you enjoyed the internet while you can because once the bill is passed, the president will sign the bill. Once it comes into law, all the people in the United States will get angry, upset, crying, etc. and I'll love every minute of it.

I find it funny that SOPA backwards is APOS, which means "A Piece Of Shit".

Yesterday, I managed to run out of internet. I hope the blackout messages are coming through, because I don't want that to happen again.

That is, until Detroit Lions Deity realizes that kinky porn is hard to find outside of the Internet.

No more masturbatory joy for you, my friend!
Either trolling, or pessimistic and sadistic.

Wait, isn't sadistic pretty much a given anyway?
Detroit Lions Deity, please state your reasons why you back SOPA/PIPA, the rest of us would love to hear what you say.

Obama administration officials said in a blog post early Saturday that they would “not support legislation that reduces freedom of expression, increases cybersecurity risk, or undermines the dynamic, innovative global Internet.”
His point was that resistance is futile. He says it will pass no matter what happens, so there's no point in opposing it any more.
To all the users of SMWCentral:

I'm just saying to you all that every publisher, Hollywood company, and pharmaceutical company are fighting for the last pork chop to support the bills in order to save their companies and never EVER lose their money and jobs.

Lamar Smith is now my friend, not my enemy. He knows what he must do to say bye-bye to Google, Facebook, and many internet companies. Let's hope there's less people playing video games, watching movies, watching TV, and viewing porn. May the United States be a place called hell for the people, including the people from the White House.
*facepalm* At least S.N.N. is helping.
SEIZE HIM!!, THAT DETROIT LIONS DEITY IS A SPY!

I'm confused about buisnesses that support SOPA.

Surely they like to go home and browse facebook or reddit or whatever?

I remain confident that SOPA/PIPA will not pass. As long as the Internet keeps up the pressure on Congress this will not get through.
I just had a thought go through my head. What if, say, our politicians were not real lawmakers, but instead, well trained actors? Puppets if you will. It would certainly make sense to me, what with all of this misdirection and, what was it, "super" pacts going around. Seriously, who needs that much slander money?

Also, I think it's related, but- Several months ago, one of the YouTube Channels I subscribed to got Perma-Banned for mentioning some famous guy's name. In the description box. Seriously, why the hell are people allowed to copy-right their names? It's a serious inconvenience to anyone who wants to recommend or even just mention you.
