Oh that one, all I did was make a mock-up of the level super-imposed over top foop's background.
Here's the image in question.
Linked because too big

Wait, what happened to the BG Mineyl made? I don't think it would be too hard to run it through edit's BG ripper and put it into the hack.

Oh it wasn't Teyla! It was MineyL!
I rather liked that background than the one FP posted...
(so that's where my confusion came from...)

Let's take this discussion about my background out of here and back into the general discussion thread, this is for trailer discussion.

Then could you link that image instead?
It's stretching this thread quite a bit for me.

Ugh.
Can't you just select "00 No Music" in the music bypass dialog?
I agree, though- I don't see why we should edit in the sound effects afterward...

Done, apologies. 1920x1080 does that to me sometimes.

I did, a while ago, get bored and arranged Camerin's grassland/industrial theme by ear using the good old mixcraft instruments but I don't really think it'd be up to the standards of this trailer. Still if anyone's interested, I could post it here. I think Camerin would be better off making his own version though.

For the clips in my trailer, I set the levels to have no music and recorded the sound effects only. Then I reduced the volume of them by about 60% in a video editor. I think that's how it should be in the final trailer.

My teaser trailer is done, I just need to get that new clip for Girder Grasslands.

Actually, in my experience, setting it to something unused but unaffected by addmusic (such as 1E) is better, since 00 actually seems to be "Don't Change Music" as opposed to "No Music" (it keeps the music from the previous sublevel if applicable, and also causes P-switch/star music to play indefinitely). This only really matters if you're making a sublevel that has no music in the actual release (since you could just disable the music in any previous sublevels as well for trailer purposes), but just thought I'd point that out.
(Not sure if this works with AddmusicM, actually. Though I think inserting a music file without any notes and setting it to that should work with any addmusic.)

Or spoiling how to get them. I don't know, it feels like the player have to find the coins themselves for me.

I think the Coin is a good idea, because it shows that there's something to collect. I think this shows the viewer what they can expect from the level (But why does the outline glitch anyway?)

The glitch is an easy fix. If you wanted to hold off until another base ROM (busy week though, not sure when I'll be able to get it up), then that might be wise. Otherwise, just skip the coins.

I can wait. That I am worried about that coin glitch as well, knowing some people who complain about everything. But I still wanna show that the player can collect those things.

I'm pretty sure that the SMWC coins look like, err, well, coins. I haven't seen the GFX, because I'm a waste of time fartnugget, but if they do look much like traditional coins(floating, yellow, maybe rotating), it should show that they're a collectable object. After all, they'll see the player collecting normal coins, which should show that you can get those. All you need to do is make the SMWC coin on screen.
