Tip: If it's possible to carry a tileset-specific sprite (such as a Buzzy Beetle or Bob-omb) through a pipe, make sure it has the correct graphics and sprite palette on the other side!

Rayman Origins

Was released in Europe today (11.24.11), and I just got it for ps3!

Maaaaaaaaaaaaaaan, THIS is TRIPPY on a whole new level! It has to be the best 2D/ HD experience I've ever had. I started the game with a friend of mine, so we've co-op'ed to world 3 by now, Its impossible to not love this. The art style and animations is what make this so wonderful, its so damn silly all the way, but still so complete and beautiful. As a long time Rayman fan, I've looked forward to this, and damn that waiting was worth it!

GET THIS GAME ALREADY, its for all the consoles.

Feel free to discuss Rayman generally btw:)
I've been watching information about this game for a long time now, and it just looks incredible, certainly a game i want to get! The last time i played a Rayman game was the third one i think...
I will get this for the Wii. I love the art style and humour of this game. Soundtrack from what Ive heard is nice aswell!
Its funny that all of the rayman games have so less in common. They all are very different in style, gameplay and all other stuff. And still it always is a good game (except the rabit games). Also raymans attacks are always different. In rayman 1 he throws his fists. In rayman 2h throws orbs or something. In rayman 3 he throws fists simmiliar to raman 1 but way different. In rayman Origins he just does kung fu.

OT: I love rayman Origins. Altough Im took a break from my ps3 because iIm bizzy witch school stuff.
Now that he ^^^^^^^^ already bumped the thread I might as well recommend the game to everybody as its incredible and one of the few games released lately I have genuinely enjoyed, to the point of where I 100%'d it entirely. Jump'n'run at its best.
This is one of the games I'd really love to play, but I don't know what machine to buy it on. I was thinking of getting it for PC once they release it for PC but there's always the PS3...

Still, the game seems to be amazing in every way possible. Once I buy it I'm 100% sure I'll love the game.
My friend bought this game last week, along with a few other games by the same company (Ratchet and Clank Future: Tools of Destruction and the Jak and Daxter trilogy). We played through the first two worlds on co-op mode, and it was an absolute ton of fun (and hilarious at the same time). I've never played a Rayman game prior to this - I've only heard from others about how great they are. This definitely confirms it.

It's pretty hard to get all of those Electoons in one level though. We kept missing hidden cages.
I'm getting it on PC when it comes out. I was tempted to get the vita version but I decided not to, and instead get uncharted.
I got it at Xmas and am now at the last world (Moody Clouds).
I tend to only play it when my gf is around as it makes it a hell of a lot more fun, plus she's really good at it, better than me to be honest ;__;

We need more games like this!

I would have to recommend against the vita version solely because of the lack of multiplayer.

Don't get me wrong, the single-player mode is still incredibly fun, but getting a friend to play with you is when the game really shines.
I dont get why they didn't make it so that you can play whit a friend with wireless ad hoc mode on the ps vita. Ubisoft is lazy sometimes. Also I hope that Ubisoft is going to bring more (free) skins for rayman and globox. Enough with the frikking teensies already.
btw whos getting rayman 3 hd?
The PC version is out. I probably should of posted this earlier. Oh well.

Although I ended up getting it on the Vita because uncharted was rather shitty.
TotalBiscuit also uploaded his "WTF is" on Rayman Origins for PC.

I actually got the game yesterday but I haven't been able to install it yet. I hope that I'll be able to play a bunch today though. From what I've seen it looks like a proper "sequel" to the original Rayman (/Gold), which just happens to be one of my favorite games.
