Normally a specific album never seems worthy of its own specific thread, but this is an exception.
Today, November 30th 2011, Nightwish let loose their new album Imaginaerum in Finland. I downloaded it because I could not stand the wait for it, and I am definitely purchasing it once it comes out here. It's incredible.
From slow lullabies to heavy haunted tunes, over to Arabic percussion clusters to slow jazzy romance, and even full-on orchestral music to the very folk-y style of many songs, this album is the God of all music albums. When Tuomas said he wanted do something for so long he hasn't done with Nightwish yet, I knew there'd be something special in store. I was expecting something more like the heavy and slightly pop-like sound that Dark Passion Play had, but I was quite surprised when it's exactly what I wasn't expecting.
If you haven't listened to it, you need to download it as soon as you can (or if you're against that, purchase the album the day it's released in your area). You won't be displeased - this album has a song for everyone.

Yeah, i'll definitely check that album. I really like Nightwish so, hopefully, i'll be satisfied with this.
