Hi there, I'm The Secret Exit, and I'm fighting a war.
The enemy? Procrastination.
I've been putting stuff off as long as I can remember. I put off essays and other large assignments, usually until the day they're due. I even put off things I like doing, maybe because the here and now is, well, here and now.
So, what about you?

Thanks for indirectly reminding me to get off SMWC. Got the last bit of work for the semester to finish and I somehow ended up here. Again.
...I should go now.

Unless I have to learn for a difficult/important exam, I normally do my homework the day before I need it. As for more time-consuming assignments like presentations or essays, I usually start them relatively close to the day I get them, but often don't finish them until I absolutely have to.
I remember years ago I used to do almost everything the very day I was told to do it, but I stopped doing so, because why do it now, if you could also do it later?

You took the words right out of my mouth haha. Yeah I put off stuff until the last day they are due, it is awful. I cannot help it either, I try to do it, but I am like "oh I got time". A lot of people in my family like to procrastinate lol, it is bad.

I don't do much of this sinnery anymore these days. Procrastination FTL, and I learned from it.

Procrastinators unite!!!!!!!!!!!!
...tomorrow.
I have a horrible horrible habit of putting things off till the last minute. Even the simplest of tasks, I have no idea why.

I used to procrastinate a lot of things in the past, mostly homework asignements. Fortunately I don't do it anymore; the trick is to start doing whathever you have to do as soon as you can, before you start anything else.

I swear it's contagious. It's at the point where if you don't do it, then you're seen as weird/odd/etc.
Level 99 procrastinator reporting in.

I tend to procrastinate quite a bit. I get distracted by YouTube and other things so easily that procrastination usually follows.
However, I've been getting better about finishing my assignments earlier, unlike my high school days when I left things until late, finished them somehow, and still somehow got nice grades. I honestly don't know how I made that work.

You'll usually find me permanently glued to this corner of the internet (just look how much I'm online), probably because I'm putting something off:
Homework, anything "school related"; writing and SMW hacking (even though I like it!)
It's just the way I roll I s'pose.

Nope, I do work as soon as I get it. It does take a bit of willpower to start, but after that I actually find essays/ maths papers/ whatever aren't that bad. Getting work done makes me feel great, so I actually find myself enjoying some of the larger tasks.

My attitude to procrastination is a little odd. I tend to get work done in bursts, when it comes to writing notes or doing simple maths questions, I'll do them whenever. But when it comes to larger tasks such as essays, I'll leave them until the day before if not the very morning they are handed in, not just because of distractions, but because I know I will do them better that way. When I have a tight deadline I can concentrate a lot better and the flow of my work won't be interrupted.
However, this does mean I feel a little tight when I'm doing other things, and I'll feel guilty when I'm not working, which means that I essentially never end up feeling free. Perhaps I should do things sooner just for that reason, but part of me fears that my quality of work would dip as the interruptions get in the way.
Although, even on the rare occasions when there isn't work to be done, I'll still feel guilty when I'm not doing something, as I don't like feeling... unproductive.

I've been struggling with this issue for a good deal of time - I just feel mentally drained 70% of the time and while I have the will to get work done am usually just out of energy.
That said, I typically get average grades and all my homework turned in nevertheless, so yeah.

I procrastinate way too much... I really realized it this friday, here's the story:
The week of Thanksgiving break, we were given project, and told it would be due on Friday (yesterday) at 3:05 PM. Well, I did a lot of the work, but not near as much as I should've. I was up to mid-night on Thursday, which really isn't that bad, but then Friday is when my procrastination really caught up to me... Friday morning I was trying to print a bunch of stuff out. At lunch, I went to find a computer, but everyone else who had the project was there also working. I didn't get a computer until 11:30. (6th hour starts at 12:00). I kept working until about 12:25, and then walked into 6th hour late, and it turned out we had a sub AND were taking a test... 8th hour was my last few minutes to work on it... I finished with 10 minutes left to spare... But still, I learned my lesson. Its kinda ironic actually... the project was about time management.

When I don't procrastinate (very rarely) I have problems. I could have a 3D animation 99.9% done, then my HDD Fail. Screw me.
