Tip: Layer 3 backgrounds and tides disappear when you hit a message box, so plan your level around that. For example, you can add a sublevel without layer 3 at the start/midpoint, and include your message there.

When will logblock be enabled again? Some guy decided to break my home's secret entrance and loot my chests, and dig a tunnel right trough my home. With logblock I could've atleast have a clue.
I sent in my Whitelist requests. (Assuming you need Whitelist for both, correct?)

I'm thinking about making a new map (and putting the current one up for download) and starting from scratch, so I ask - what does the community want from Survival? Please post in this thread, PM me, or drop by our IRC channel on irc.caffie.net #minecraft.

So, could we have a download of the previous survival map? (The one before all this anarchy stuff)

Oh, yes, that's still on its way. I just haven't found the time to do that.
Hey guys.

I try to log in to Caffie Creative, but both that and survival give the a "Connection Lost" signal. It's as if I cant connect to the Caffie server

Thoughts?
Since Kieran hasn't said anything about this yet I may as well do.

Ecthel came onto #minecraft earlier and asked me to pass on the message that he is going away for a while and the server will need a new admin.

He left in a rush saying he'll be back in May.

I suppose any errors with connection would be due to him not running the servers at the moment. Expect a little downtime. Kieran has a good idea of who's getting the administrative rights to the server.
After a talk with Kieran, it's been decided that Disco and I will take charge of the server, at least for the time that Ecthel is gone. We've got Survival and LS Flatland up and running, and we will be updating to 1.2.3 once bukkit as well as some plugins are ready for the move. More info to come soon.
We're currently upgrading the servers to 1.2.3.
Stay tuned people!
I just feel that we should mention this, since we've been doing this on a normal basis now;

We have been playing a good number of Multiplayer maps such as Race for the Wool and Capture the Wool, and We also have some of the Super Hostile (Adventure) Maps set up. We would like if we could get more players for the Pvp maps, if anyone is interested, it's actually really fun to play.
On top of the co-operative and PVP challenge maps that we have been playing lately, I would like to mention that caffie survival is back up, and it is now traditional SMP survival rather than anarchy. I have some screenshots of the new map.

Spawn area, in a jungle. The wall that you see was built by Balrog, and there is a jungle village suspended above.

A melon farm made by Syntax Errors (aka Losoall), which I later optimized with redstone, making it possible to farm melons with a button. Connected to the jungle village via rail.

An interesting series of mushroom cliffs next to the jungle spawn area. You can just see the spawn's nether portal to the left of the picture.

A small NPC village a ways from spawn where many of us are now living. It is in a desert biome, next to the ocean, and has a large hill above it. I have to say that it is the most epic NPC village that I have personally seen in my life.

An unfinished pyramid being built by Disco (aka Crazyreader01). It uses the new 1.2.4 sandstone blocks.

My house. It took all day to build... 0_0 I also had to cut down basically an entire taiga to get enough wood for it, and I think that the EPA is going to kill me.

A zombie dungeon that was converted into an XP grinder by Disco. This grinder is under the water right next to the desert NPC village, and the main reason that many of us moved there from spawn.

The underground base that we built around the zombie grinder. It is connected to the mushroom cliff nether portal via nether tunnel, and also has a tunnel leading directly to my house.

Our small nether wart farm, which is in the nether right next to the underground zombie grinder base's portal. We have a nether rail nearby leading to a blaze spawner, which will soon be converted into a blaze grinder.

An alternate view of the desert area from my balcony.

Anyway, we'd be delighted if more people would come on and play with us. :)
Sent in my white list.
Due to various requests, we now have a tekkit server.

Personally I hope to see you guys on there. :D

To play on the Tekkit server, download the latest Tekkit client. (Just google it up, it's very easy to find)
Ugh, I can't seem to join the Tekkit server. Just gives me a garbage error saying

connection lost internal exception java.net.socketexception connection reset
I get that error when I try to connect to Tekkit as well using my vanilla minecraft client. Are you sure you are using your Tekkit client? That's what you have to use to connect.
The creative server has suddenly turned into some weird SMB thing that's not even in creative mode, fix please.
Oh that was something Pheno, myself, and Devann were fooling around on. Guess the server wasn't reset.

Sorry about that, it's been fixed now.

In survival, Disco and I decided to get festive with Christmas:

The Taiga seems to fit well too.

We need more players, we normally 3 vs 3 but i would love to see a higher number of players. Also Survival is back and running, with some protective mods for your chests.
