Hmmm... you made better ones, but it's still pretty good and I think you don't need to improve it as it's pretty colorful. =3 If the light blue land under the bridge is water, then I definitely advice to darken the palette of it as it's looking like the ice.

If you don't have any more palette rows and this is the cause of ice and water having the same palette, you can always use the palette 0-3 if you disable the event path fade effect.

Overall, I give the submap a 7/10, and darkening the water palette will improve the submap a lot. Good luck! =)
It does use all 4 FG palettes, unfortunately. :(

How do you disable the fade effect?
Yeah, you could swap them but you don't need to. Also I noticed some small issues:

-The switch palette isn't the best.
-The tree at the middle is cutoff due to the path.

Other than that it's a pretty nice submap.

@JDC, go to Overworld editor > Extra options and check the last option.
Yeah, this submap would look really better if the water would be in its own colour. Actually, disabling the event path fade effect was the main and most great function of LM 1.90. Everyone was really satisfied we can now use palettes 0-3 on the OW! =D

I'm surprised you didn't know. :) But actually, this is done this way:

Lunar Magic -> Overworld Editor -> Overworld -> Extra Options... -> Tick the Box "Disable Event Path Fade Effect".

It will edit some ASM, disable Fade Effect on the overworld Event Paths, and now you can safely use palettes 0-3 and even more! =D I hope it helped. =)
I'm going to try that later, Teo17. :)
If I get it to work, I'll show an improved version of the submap.

A bonus area with that DKCR type silhouette thing. :P

Just something I thought I'd show. It's fairly beta at the moment, by the way.

Looks pretty nice. I like the dark effect here.
Sorry for the lack of updates. I have been busy. :(

Anyways, I have to show a new level, called "Riverbed Rapids".
It's the third level in the Jungle world, just after Wilting Wilderness.
This level will feature tides in, and will have layered ground as well. The first section of the level will just be line guide sprites, but later on in the level will be an area like Mondo.

See an image of the level in LM here

I really need more comments and opinions here. What do you think?
Please ignore the placeholder BG for now.

Looks good so far, I know the bg is a placeholder but it sort of suits the level quite well imo. The layered ground looks really good too.

I like the gimmick ideas for the level too, i've not seen much (if any) level combine a layer 3 tide with line-guided objects before. I'm looking forward to seeing how the level turns out. :)
Looks pretty good so far, but those squared holes in the ground seem just too... squared to me.

Looks nice. I also think the BG is fine as it is.
