This is just a simple contest for level designers. Everything you need to know is listed below.
Deadline: 14th February 2012
Prizes: If you get 3rd place, you will be congratulated. If you get 2nd, you will have the chance to learn basic ActionScript 2, and if you get 1st, you will have the chance to learn basic and intermidate ActionScript 2! If you win 1st or 2nd, but don't want the prize, just send me a PM. However, if want your prize, then again PM me, so we can do the work.
Rules/Description:
RULES:
1. The level must be a reasonable length.
->The level must not be 2 screens, nor 1F screens!
2. The level must have fitting music!
->Don't make a forest with the Bowser music.
3. Stick on one graphics choice!
->Don't make a Yoshi's Island styled cartoony cave, which is followed by an area with detailed Metroid grphics.
4. The time must be good.
->Don't make the counter go crazy via putting 1000 seconds in it.
-->Don't make the timer to display 50 from the beginning!
5. Be careful about what and where you place.
->Even if the camera is set to "Vertical Scroll at Will", it will refuse to scroll if Mario is in the air after bouncing on an enemy.
-->This will result him being offscreen. The camera's gonna follow him when he touches something solid.
6. Even if you have traps, don't overuse them.
->Traps are allowed, but overusing them is -3 points for each.
-->Traps are anything like offscreen Thowmps that you don't see, enter the pipe without expecting that there is a room filled with Munchers below it, etc.
7. Don't make a Kaizo Level.
->Submitting a Kaizo Level will get you insta-disqualified.
DESCRIPTION:
Every hacker may showoff his standard level design. He can make any type of level. The winner's going to be asked does he want to learn ActionScript 2!

Does the level have a certain theme to it?

I'll join in an attempt to get last place just so I can have the honour of being a complete failure. You might want to turn down your volume.

It doesn't have to be a certain theme. You can do every style.
Yes, you can be a judge, but if you accept, I will send you some things via a PM.

So this means we can do any kind of level? Hmm... is there a second prize in case if someone won't like to learn coding?

The description says that if the person doesn't want to learn coding, he/she can just tell me and not get the prize.

I know but if the person won't like the prize, would he/she get a small extra prize or some sort?

I will see. What can I do. There is no problem with this.

I changed my mind. I have too many things going on currently to work on this. I can judge though if you'd like.

If you want, I can be a judge. I have no time on making levels but I think I'd have time to test some.

Honestly the rules for this contest seem like standard hacking practices. It's like a NASCAR race where the rule is "don't crash".

Yeah, I thought similar at the beginning. I think there should at least be a theme of the level or some more description about how it should look like.

There was nothing truly "wrong" with the contest after he revised it a couple times so I let him go ahead and post it. It doesn't feel like a very strong contest maybe, but it's okay.

Of course, yes. This is not a "no pipe and door contest", it's a level design contest. You can use everything you wish.
P.S.: Just don't make them lead to levels 000 or 100, else that will piss me or any other judge off.

No, I didn't forgot you. I was just telling them that there are judges. You aren't a new judge.
Off-topic Edit: Woot! Let's jump around! I'm a Shyster!
