I want to know what do you think about my first Kaizo Hack (If you think it's breakable, please say in which part).
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zz6hknyWAIE
I'm working in a new Kaizo Hack (Beyond pit difficulty : Cave of Fear)
PS: Do you think I should post Super Mannah World in this site?
PS2: Sorry for my bad English. As you can see by the video, I'm brazilian.

Is this really your first kaizo hack? It looks pretty nice!
Also, I don't think this matters, but at the end of the 1st level, when you jump off the noteblock with the red shell, you could throw it to the side, and keep the green shell, and jump off the red, and go through the goal carrying the green shell, so you could get a mushroom for the next level.
EDIT: Also, yeah, this site would reject your hack because it's kaizo.

You do know the site itself doesn't accept kaizos, right?

I think 2:15 to 2:20 and 4:58 thru 5:05 should be changed. They're not so much challenging as they are tedious and uncreative.
Other than those parts, the levels were fairly creative and well designed, and I had a pretty good feeling about this hack until the first castle. It seemed too much pit to me. It relied too much on P-Switch jumping, making it repetitive and a massive difficulty spike.
The end of the auto-scrolling level where you keyjumped also seemed like a pit level (if this is supposed to go from Kaizo to pit rather than Kaizo all the way through, then all this midair P-switch/key jumping doesn't matter nearly as much).
I couldn't find any breaks, but I'm not too good at finding breaks just from watching videos. Sadistic Designer is pretty good at finding breaks.

Ok, I don't want to sound like a complete noob here but... what do you mean by shell puzzle?

Wow, you say this is your first Kaizo hack? it's pretty cool!. I've watched your video and looks great.
And a suggestion: change the cement block's palette, it looks weird, and it's hard to see them when they are near bullet bill machines ;).

"Shell Puzzle" is a hack by Sadistic (which I have no idea where to find, sorry) that has a puzzle hidden behind what would appear to be a break (the "shell puzzle break" that Sadistic won't shut up is always talking about) but is actually the correct solution.
Don't ask me what it is, cause I don't even have the hack (and Sadistic won't say anything about it).

Oh ok. Thanks!
I'm guessing it's some shell glitch like shell recycling or something nathan found. I am probably wrong.

It's in Sadistic Designer's file bin. It's a way of self promoting his hack to get more people to download and play it rather than any actual form of feedback.

Not entirely, it is also the easiest way for me to describe the breaks I found, which is in a sense helping the creator by alerting them before the release.
Proper comments: I fully agree with what Sokoban said earlier about those low spinjump sections, and 7:32-7:38 should be added to that. Also I was rather surprised while watching 6:54 through 09:03. Up to 6:54 your levels seem like really fun, rather good Kaizo levels with a few rather hard spots. However you force the player to keyjump and P-jump after that, quite a number of times. The keyjumping isn't too bad (but it certainly isn't good!), but the Pow jumps really make this hack require masochistic tendencies slowdown or worse. What struck me most is that despite being almost a pit level the P switch castle also had some really easy shelljump sections (shell puzzle break once again, letting you keep 2 shells), as well as some timed runs (invincibility frames) in which you could have been a lot faster! All in all the difficulty curve of the castle level is rather poor.
Also I really like the Yoshi level!
Another thing that struck me as confusing was the fact that the Switch Palace did not look like a Switch Palace on the overworld.
Lastly, most levels were full of shell puzzle breaks, but in most cases it was hardly worth making use of them. All in all your hack looks really good, except for the Pow castle and the other things mentioned above!

I intended to make the castle really hard (harder than the other levels), so the player could scream louder than Moltov (if that's possible). I have learned my lesson about muncher jumps. In the Cave of Fear, there will be none of them. Where, exactly, can you keep 2 shells?
In the first level, I think it's impossible to get to the goal point using only one shell. It's quite distant.

I'm not sure how much good it will do to just say that there are breaks without at least giving a hint at what the player could do to break the level, unless the creator either puts up the hack for break testing or is so eagle eyed that he/she can figure out the break in question for their own hack, or is smart enough to somehow beat shell puzzle.
It also gets on my nerves to talk about shell puzzle breaks to someone who hasn't been joined here for very long without explaining anything (tho I wouldn't expect you to give away the shell puzzle solution).

Sorry, I don't have a youtube, for some reasons... you won't be the first to ask me to get one though..
What are you having trouble with? You might be using the wrong emulator to view it.

I'm a noob in Snes9x. I only use Zsnes. Could you tell me, step by step, how to open the video in Snes9x 1.43?
By the way, how could you TAS the first level if you don't have the hack?

I looked at your channel & found it.
Look up download for Snes9x v1.43, and download. When you have the emulator, open your hack, and then play it. Now go to movie, and then play movie, and click that. Now browse for the smv file. and click ok

OK. I did it. I watched the movie, but there is one little problem: MARIO DIES 4 TIMES IN THE FIRST JUMP. After that, the movie ends. Is it a problem with the emulator or the movie?

I was watched your TAS, your hack is pretty good! (Really, best than mine, and gimme some inspiration for it).
Also, I can help you about this. Yuor matter is than with your Snes9x version you'll get desync. Try to donwload this Snes9x, because you'll not get any desync, I hope. And desync is when the video movements doesn't work well.
EDIT: will be good if you use this emulator for make TASes too.
