Ah, so that's how you pull the lever (don't worry, I'm not upset; we all make mistakes). The level was very good, if just a touch on the short side (arguably). That's not a bad thing, though, since puzzle levels that drag on tend to become repetitive or annoying, and yours was quite the opposite. So yes, for this a badge is well deserved; nice job.

"Id like to see a level with lots of metroid style pass through walls."
Bistai949 Definitely deserves a badge for this. The level structure rocked, the sprite and powrup placement was genius, Abd I loved the music (though I dont know what the song is). Great job

I'm terribly sorry that I didn't fufill someones request, I have been in the hospital, with health issues, and I couldn't work on the patch I'm so sorry, I'm going ahead and telling you that. And JDC that was kinda rude...
EDIT: and that was a really hard request.

Level From: Geminirage
Request: Lectori Salutem!
I'd like a level made with my sprite, the Mario Following Grinder!
Everything is up to you, but i would like a cozy christmas town themed level!
I quite like the level, but it was very hard and (nearly) impossible without savestates.
The music and the pallettes were very good, but there were some graphical glitches, for example the glitchy thing next to the 10 coin collect thingy.
I quite liked the idea of making the goal post red-green and all sprites were used very good.
I'll give you a 8.5/10, and i think you deserve a badge

Level made by keckcellent.
Bob-omb Tower
You, sir, made an awesome level. You definetly followed my theme, choosed clever placements for the items and sprites, and included even a part with moving layer 2! You also included nice music (I like NSMB-music ) and your time limit was chosen good enough to somplete the level. There is just one issue I could find in this level:

I could fall through the one ledge tile I marked. I really feel bad that I can't give you a ten because this level was extremly fun and challenging, but I give you a 9.5/10. Oh, and you deserve the badge totally. Very nice job, keckcellent, and thanks for such a nice level!

The coin points glitch was definitely an oddity; sometimes it was there and other times it wasn't... possibly a quirk with the ExGFX I got for those koopas. I probably could've just left them alone, but one of the first things I did when making this level was using the Christmas Koopa graphics because it was the season!
As for the level, when I was designing it, I realized one problem; grinders and "cozy" do not mix. Even if you make the grinder look like a deceivingly harmless snowflake, the mere idea of being chased around by killer snowflakes removes any sense of relaxation you might've been experiencing prior. So I thought I'd do something a little different; keep within the lines of using the Mario-follow Grinders, but instead of a cozy town level... I made a nightmarishly challenging forest of frosty doom!
I'm going to be honest, this was the first time I had ever stepped into the realm of hard level design. I usually make easy-to-medium difficulty stages (in relativatity to most hackers) when I make levels for hacks and such, so I was walking into foreign territory here. Extensive testing was done when I made this level just to minimalize glitchiness(and even then, those chasing grinders still had a tendency to warp through walls or blocks), and making sure it could be beaten legitimately. I won't deny it might've been easier for me because I made the level and knew where some of the less-obvious powerups were, but even so, it took me a good while before I actually managed to get to the end without dying.
You might've also noticed this level was quite short and had no midway point. This was intentional for a few reasons; the first one being that this is an autoscroller, since long autoscroll levels are no fun if the player dies a lot (which they would in this level). The other was because of the difficulty; something I typically dislike in hacks is when difficult levels aren't just difficult, but overly long too! These two factors combined demanded a rather short level in order to keep it from being too torturous.
Yeah, that's pretty much what I have to say about the level I created. It's good to see you liked it for the most part, even if I might've been a little too cruel with the difficulty. I hope you'll have a Happy New Year!

Review for my level made by SacredSilverYoshi:
I actually quite enjoyed the level. It has a fresh gameplay and your music, graphics choice fits the theme pretty good. You also managed the thing with the unexpected moments good. The level design wasn't great, but decent and the level overall was maybe a bit short (I know there wasn't much time). So overall you did a good job and fulfilled the request like I wanted to.
Now I'm still waiting for a review of the level made by me...

My level was made by The Vicious Outcast. Thanks for making the level :3 All in all I think you deserve the badge though it was pretty short and was a bit too hard in some places (mainly those where the Ysoshi-Coins where). But it was still fun and I liked the pallates :3

KevKot: I'm glad you enjoyed my level. It was tricky to do because I had a hard time playing around with the resources. It was originally going to have bom-omb destroyable blocks and bubbles in the second half but they just never seemed to work out. The little glitched tile was originally going to have a purple triangle block but it never worked out as well because running on the walls doesn't work well with layer 2. I forgot to remove the tile under the triangle. Oops.
MSAhm3d59113: What a level! Don't read this review. Play MSAhm3d59113's level cause it'll convey things better than I can.
Originally posted by my requestA total solar eclipse is coming to Mario World and creating weird effects on the island. Mario must survive through the eclipse. The only restriction I have is no kaizo. Other than that, anything from a darkened vanilla landscape to a level with hex editing/asm to simulate the bizarre changes would be awesome.
Despite the crazy LevelASM(?) things that you used in this level to convey weird visual effects, you actually stuck with pretty vanilla level design for the first two areas (minus the multiple midpoints). I found the level design simple but effective. I also really enjoy when Dino-Torches are tossed in levels. Now the visual effects (as well as the music) turned this into some sort of nightmare. IS the first music available on the site or was it custom. It had this apocalyptic sound to it, with weird police siren-esque noises. Hmm.. The darkening effect was a little creepy as well and the simple eclipse in the background all you needed to complete the visuals. The one minor bug was that the Hammer Bro didn't always spawn but thats a minor complaint.
Part 2 gave me a ton of trouble. I just didn't realize for a while that you weren't actually being teleported. It was just the Mario sprite was being reflected visually at the bottom of the screen. Visually and with your choice of sound, it was good but not as good as the other areas.
Part 3 was the only area that I wasn't crazy about. Cave Story music is always a plus. I just felt like the difficulty was ramped up too quickly. I didn't get much of an opportunity to adjust to the altered controls and had a hard time getting through everything.
Other than that, the OW design was very nice and simple. I also really liked the music in the post-level Yoshi house but didn't recognize it. It has a very Mega Man feel to it but I can't place it.
You definetely deserve a badge.
Lucas, Chester, and anyone else behind the scenes: Thanks for coordinating this. It was fun.

Yeah, the pipegen sprite I used to make the fire walls disappear and for the surprise made sprite placement a royal pain. I kept the level short because of the knockback hit system combined with the hur+teleport blocks made me a little frustrated towards the end. Im glad you liked the graphics, I drew the sprites myself. If you have any suggestions, send me a PM. I'll try to work them in.

So, nobody made a level for me? I'm disappointed.
I agree with JDC that we should make a wall of shame.
Well my level idea was't very good anyway.
Also the guy who got my level in the first batch haven't made his review yet and I don't know if he's going to make one. Can I still get a badge even if my level isn't reviewed?
(Bbut I will prefer to have a review and a badge. I want to know how "the guy for which I made the level" think about my level.)

Just finished playing the level that was made for me, though, the one who made it decided to stay anonymous.
Original Idea: A neon city that takes place at night.
Overall, the level fit the idea pretty nicely. The graphics went together well and the music gave it a nice atmosphere. As for the level design, despite the end-game-ish difficulty, it was pretty nicely done. It stuck to a solid, yet slightly mixed gimmick, and was fun to play, despite being a little short.
Overall, I'd give this level an 8/10. The author, whoever it may be, deserves a badge for this level. Nice job! :)

Well...
Originally posted by FeenicksWhile I did ask for a flying-Yoshi-centric level with that, honestly what this level did, with a focus more on flying enemies, was probably better in terms of the actual level.
I was afraid of this, mostly because I'm not used to designing levels around Yoshi or flight, so I wasn't sure how to approach the request. I'm sorry that the level didn't quite turn out the way you wanted. :<
Originally posted by FeenicksYou clearly put a lot of effort into this, and you really deserve a badge for this.
However, I'm glad that you enjoyed the level, and I feel that that's the important thing. :>
Well, I think I'm overall happy with how this event went, and I wouldn't mind participating in an event like this again sometime.
