Which stands for Electric Light Orchestra. Have any of you guys ever heard of them? They're sort of like the Beatles, only their songs aren't really that trippy, they're more normal in a sense, but still have that strange atmosphere when it comes to appreciating life. It's a sort of thing that's hard to describe. Anyway, their songs are very uplifting and are a perfect thing to listen to when you seem to be feeling down.
Here's one of their more well known songs:
Mr Blue Sky
These guys are awesome, however they lack a place in the Rock n' Roll hall of fame. I suspect it's because of how unknown they seem to be. It's incredibly unfortunate, because their music is just so positive, catchy, so well composed and it never gets annoying. You can tell they took the time to craft their songs, and it stinks that they never got the popularity they deserved and faded into obscurity. At least they have a VERY dedicated fanbase.
So what do you guys think? How would you describe their music, and do you think they deserve a spot in the Rn'R HoF? Or am I making too much of a big deal over "Just another rock band."?

I've listened to Out of the Blue and Zoom, and some other songs from other albums (favorites: Wild West Hero, 10538 Overture and Nightrider), and these guys are really good.
They're pretty much prog rock combined with classical music. I agree, they're like the Beatles.
