Nope. But I have played the game, and I do know that at least stage 3 is ridiculously hard. I assume the rest of them game is like it.

Indeed, the game is infamously hard. Stage three is the first "hard" stage, but it gets progressively worse (for me, it's worst in stages 6 and 8).

As for TASes, my personal favorites are the Megaman & Bass "100 CDs" run, the Majora's Mask run, the Yoshi's Island run, and the (shameless self-plugging) Super Mairo World any%.

If you thought the SMW TAS was fast, here's Castlevania Harmony of Dissonance beaten in 22.73 seconds. It's too fast for my eyes to follow, and the credits are longer than the playthrough.
Super Metroid beaten in 21:35 A literal no-boss run. A large portion of it is spent x-ray climbing into Tourian.
Donkey Kong Country in 08:13.72. Much of the game is skipped and Diddy defies gravity.
Thought I'd revive the thread with a run of Super Mario 64 DS. It's pretty interesting how the author glitches through the wall and finds his way into the Bowser levels.

Also, Brain Age and Family Feud, two games where the recognition of answers is destroyed by the author.

Time to revive this thread with a couple more TAS runs:
Metal Gear Solid in 1:31:49.0

Castlevania III: Dracula's Curse "Grant path" in 28:35.19

Speedy Gonzales: Los Gatos Bandidos in 23:27.42 (the first run to make use of lsnes, a rerecording emulator based on the bsnes core)

Currently on TASVideos's workbench is a TAS run of Rosenkreuzstilette in 27:58.25. That run uses Spiritia. I will update my post accordingly if the run gets published/cancelled/rejected.

EDIT: My heart skipped a beat.

A run of Megamari in 32:49.12.

I'd love a video link of that Megamari run, since I can't get Hourglass working on my computer.
YouTube user Transgenic86 has been doing speedruns of Portal 2 Chambers lately. He's also the guy behind Portal Done Pro, a 9.5-minute Portal speedrun.
Giga, fear not: The Megamari TAS has been published a few hours ago.

EDIT: The Rosenkreuzstilette TAS has been published as well.

So, a long time ago, I've made a double TAS of Mario Gives Up and Mario Gives Up 2 (The first level only). I'm not that good doing TASes, but hey, it was worth a try!

Cave Story Sacred Grounds WIP 3rd redo

This is a Cave Story TAS that I have done a while ago and I decided to redo my WIP.

So I know that I can shave off 1 second. I'm going to redo it tomorrow.
Thanks for telling me, fsvgm. I'm gonna go check it out. In the meantime, FractalFusion found a way to have 10 max health in Megaman X.
Bump, but I couldn't resist sharing the ultimate TAS. Basically, it glitches out Pokemon Yellow, overwrites its code in RAM with a bootloader, then using controller input to load a payload of a MIDI and image.

Jesus christ.
Yesterday, sonicpacker on youtube published a SM64 TAS he made together with a team of people. They got all 120 stars in only 1 hour and 20 minuttes. I believe this a new world record.

Here is the link to the youtube video

What a show!
A SMW TAS that tells other TAS' to go cry in a coner. (Oh, and you can view it in 3d by clicking the options button(Yes, I did view it in 3d :P).)
I'd love a SMW tool-assisted speedrun competition :)

Recently was uploaded a Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island 100% TAS by Carl Sagan, Baxter and NxCy. The best of thing of this TAS is that each level has it's own tricks and all of them are awesome to watch.

Another not-as-recently uploaded TAS is Super Mario World 96-exit by bahamete, Kaizoman666 & Masterjun.
So today is Pi Day and...

What better way to show the first few digits of Pi than doing so in Pokémon Yellow? (this is a TAS, of course)

Who knew DOS games could be TASed?
This is a TAS of the glitchiest of the Commander Keen games, episode 6, featuring such glitches as rocketing upward on neural stunner shots, clipping through solid tiles, and his quest to rescue his baby sitter took a grand total of 3:20.
Dark Chronicle/Dark Cloud 2 in just 25 Hours done with just using and upgrading Max's gun and Monica's armband
Monica has Love, Max has Last Resort :D

Don't really know if i might submit the TAS because it's pretty damn long!

Hey everyone. After a long hiatus, I decided I would work on my Cave Story Sacred Grounds TAS.

I finished it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=72aXgA6WA3M

This beat's Nitsuja's TAS of the Hell section by 3.8 seconds.

After a long while of procrastination, it's finally here. I've been very busy with school projects and robotics. It took me quite a while.

Sorry if it causes motion sickness. Cave Story runs at 50fps, and I think Sony Vegas may have rendered it in 60.

I definitely see a lot of improvements that I could make, however I am currently happy as it is because this is currently the world record.
