If it's not, then i'm enthusiastic that SMWCentral has taken the intuitive to try and stop this evil bill from passing. From what i heard, Google, Wikipedia, Twitter and Facebook are planning a mass black out that could also help the cause. I personally fell that would be a step too far though.

Oh just spreading awareness, really. January 18 is the "official" SOPA awareness day, so we might also do some shenaningans there.

For the last time, the background is not meant as a joke, but rather as a way of spreading awareness. We are not screwed... yet.
On January 18, some major websites (e.g. reddit) will "blackout" to protest against SOPA.

Well if it goes through, it's been great knowing all you american folks. It won't though.
This whole thing is silly. And to everyone who didn't read Kieran's response, it's an awareness thing. (heck simply seeing that the image is hosted by SMWC should've gave that away).
The site won't be pulled since the servers aren't hosted in the US. It'll just be blocked to the US folk.

We have been called by some guy which awesome name is KevKot, the evil telltail about websites, and it has been coming to our attention that you have been sending illegal files with the ending .ips, but if you would have been choosing files to upload files with .smc. The background has been deleted by us, and this site is going to be closed in 24 hours. Enjoy your left time, this site won't be existing anymore later!

Small question Kieran. You're from Not America aren't you? If so, then how will the new law affect this site and other sites not directly based in America?
I heard that anything ending in ".com" and ".net" America can actually be in control over (regardless of where the server is based). Is that right?
