What is IRC and how is it used? And what is a 'page layout' and how is it used/made/whatever. I know this isn't really a question about the site but, I didn't know where to post it and I couldn't find much information on page layouts anywhere else.

IRC stands for internet relay chat. It's a chatting system for intellegent people. SMWC has an IRC server. For more info, check out the thread in announcements(?)
By page layout I assume you mean a post layout. A post layout basically adds graphical enchantment to your posts. Much like my posts.

The Computers and Technology forum could be of help. There's even a thread where you can request them and a layout generator in said thread.
