Okay, I may need help with this, I've put a header on the Super Castlevania 4 Bloody Tears port by CrispyYoshi and The song works perfectly for ZSNES, But there is a weird glitch that when you die in SNES9x in the level with the Bloody Tears song and the Death music doesn't play and the game freezes.

Can you help?

The Song is here
1) Put the header RIGHT at the top.

2) Get rid of the echo line.

It should function fine then.
Hey thanks, it worked #w{=D}

I'm having another problem, I've found this Japanese port of DKC2 Castle Crush (or Krook's March if you prefer) Heard from Vip 4/SMW :P :P :P and the song doesn't work in SNES9x at all (works perfectly on ZSNES though), I've added a header before I inserted it and I did put the -se command in and nothing.

The Song

Can you help, and yes, I will remove the link mods after its fixed due to it being a japanese port.
ZSNES is a terribly inaccurate emulator and doesn't break like snes9x and BSNES do when it comes across technical problems.

In that txt file you'll see...

Code
$EF $FF $00 $00 $F1 $08 $45 $01 $F2 $D8 $28 $28

that is too much echo delay for the echo buffer to handle, the $F1 $08, the limit is $05 with the level header for AM4. Just simply change the $08 to $05 and it should work.

With that song there's no way to have a delay of $08, but if you move the echo buffer to 0x1D00 you'll be able to set the delay to $07, without any issues.

It's easy:

use this as your header

Code
$ED $80 $6D $1D $ED $80 $7D $00 $F0

and then you can change the echo delay to $07

Code
$F1 $07 $45 $01

For future reference: you can't do this with the pieces of music that have an insert size higher than 2392 bytes.
