Pasting images to YY-CHR

So, whenever I paste an image to YY-CHR, it dosen't even bother to get it right, and the image is overly complex to correct color by color(and some colors apear as the exact same color, even when the image only had 16 colors in it...).Is there any way to get images to at least have some precision when pasting?
First off, your layout text is really hard to read.

About YY-CHR, the colors are 8 or 16 bit I believe and most pictures today are made in programs such as paint, which usually saves them 24-bit or higher, and in some cases higher.

I believe YY-CHR cannot determine every color and that's why it would look weird. Try copying the picture to paint and saving as a 16 or 256 color bitmap, then copy paste the newly saved image.

I don't know if this will work, but it is worth a try.

I edited the image with GIMP(reduced size and colors), but stilll same thing.Isn't there a tool or utility for riping gfx from images or similar?

I'm not sure, but I'll look into it. Also your layout text looks a little better.
You'll need to still edit some stuff but this can rip images in png format.

I've often times had to do minor modifications to the image and palette in both paint and YY-CHR. I've never used GIMP for transferring graphics to YY-CHR so the problem might be different.

In 99% (the 1% was me being a terrible/lazy hacker) of the cases that apply to me, the image in your image editor must have the same palette as in YY-CHR (Even a slightly different color can make a huge difference). If the color isn't the same or doesn't exist, it will assume the closest color it can, which lots of times it isn't accurate. In many cases, colors like black, white, and most shades of gray (as in, colors with the same RGB values in all 3 fields) won't transfer well to YY-CHR so it will assume colors and in most cases make it look terrible. Other problematic colors that I've encountered in the past are very bright colors (eg. Paint default colors) like red, blue, green, and I believe yellow too.

For problematic colors like the ones I listed above, I usually use (very dark or very light) blues, greens, etc. that the program can't mistake for another. You can modify the colors in YY-CHR slightly (changing the RBG values around a bit with the sliders) and recolor the graphics with the same colors. It's tedious work, but its much easier than having to redraw it in YY-CHR completely.
