Luigi lost in Telinc's World, also known as LLITW for short is my main hack. It has several levels done by now and it's actually progressing very well. Here is the story:

Fun Fact: They were originally named Fake Coins, but because of the common mistake, I named them like that.

A secret and another Kafe Coin + Omnomnom.

Don't you think this is supposed to be smaller? Naw, forget it.

I'm pretty sure all of you love secret passages.

Yes, this is supposed to be an infinite loop. If you say "No", it will tell you that it knew you're a scredy cat and loop it again until you don't say yes.

This grey Koopa is actually a Blue Koopa, but I've changed its pallete. Also, it takes 5 fireballs to kill.

The way you accsses here is ny pressing down on these clouds.

KABOOM!

Something's wrong here. I'm not kidnapped. Or at lest in real live. ^^.

Ah... The left-right glitch. I love it.

Ummm... I hate the Death Bat Ceiling. Also, lovely ground!

The evil Boo is getting defeated!

This actually looks pretty good. I like the HDMA. But your palettes could do with a little work. The third screenshot palette isn't great. Also, where is the dots in the ground in this?
Overall though, this hack looks pretty good, and I look forward to seeing more

Thanks! I will make a support userbar just after I type this. Also, the ground itsn't supposed to have dots. This is a fall-themed level. And another thing, this is Telinc's World. You can see anything unoriginal here!

Telinc, is Blue Path like an island thats blue or is it suppose to like a cold area? Or is like in the sky? I played your demo and i don't know if thats going to be your actual overworld which i don't think it will be so thats why i was wondering.
Also, the palette colors for some of the sprites in my opinion are a little out of detail but i could help you with the palette editting since i'm good with colors

Thanks! Also, Blue Path Land is a special type of land. It isn't in the sky, noe it's cold. It's a sub-island in Kahani Island, but it's impossible to see where it ends and where it begins. So basicaly it's a sub-island. Also, sure you cna help me with palletes. We can do via PM or we can just talk about it this evening.

To be honest, the level is a bit too empty. You could do with adding more obstacles.

Well to begin with you should definitly put some coin patterns to entertain/distract players. Also you should really add some blocks like the "?" ones and turnblocks and probaly give a powerup or something. You also include more simple dirt tiles to walk on or block luigi's way. Maybe some Urchins may do well and and some Blurp fish. Make it more exciting or less boring give luigi something to hold on like a shell or a p-switch or even a key if you may. Get creative!!

Thank you very much! I thought of something like that, but I didn't add it in. Thanks fo the tips!
Also, about keys and P-switches, I won't do it. I don't like "item babysitting".

Well this what i have done for your overworld up to now but i might make some changes:
1.In the very beginning: From "Albatoss Island" to "Platforming Madness"

2. After completing this whole area:

3. My version of Blue Path: In the beginning:

4. And finally when you complete this area:

For #3 and #4 I will put some rocks, probably big mountains and smoke smoke or clouds to make the sky theme look better.

AWESOME! Seriously, this is just amazing! I knew that I didn't make a mistake when making you a level designer. Thank you very much, thenextdoor. This thingy seems complete, when will you send me an IPS, so I can insert it into the base ROM? Also, how's Cave of Wonder going?
Also, just a suggestion, but you can add a part of an island (that's not blue, of course) in the left corner of World 1B, so it isn't just rocks. Make it blue, if you can't make it green.

These are some screenies from my my friend's level - Cave of Wonder. I edited the level a bit, as it was awful at some points and there was a crappy pallete that I fixed by changing some colours.

One more Giant Springboard? Yeah. I added that in, as it looks cooler.

I removed some enemies from here. 3 Koopa Paratroopas flying towards you + An insane Boomerang Bro. is not a good combination.

Nothing special about this one. Also, I like the setup here.

The grey pipe a a Tropedo Ted shooter. Also, the Munchers DO cut the water, but the BG pallete is the same as the water's pallete. This fills in the holes.

If you don't time your jump carefully here, you will get Bullet Bill'd.

And finally we've got this area. I changed pallete 4 here, else the water and the ground look crappy. Also, I moved and resized a bit the shooters.
Note: If you're not fast enough here, you will get around 10 bullets following you.

From what I can see this has some pretty good ideas, The levels look good, and overall; I think this could become fun to play. It is still to early to tell if it is going to be amazing but it is a work in progress.
I can't accurately measure how good it is, not just because it's not finished, but because I haven't played.
For now all I can say is that it looks good and keep up the nice work. I believe this will turn out to be well made in the end.
