boo hoo. someone on the internet thinks my hack sucks.
Corollary: Don't read my posts if you can't handle it. In fact, just get off the internet, and perhaps refer to your right hand for someone who will always be there to keep your spirits up.
QuoteShut up and leave if you don't have anything helpful to say to anyone of us. Saying "you guys suck because i cant play these hacks" is not going to make us make "funner" hacks.
Here's a small hack. It's small. The level design went through about 10 different iterations while I found a way to make it so that the first few times you played it you might not get a fast time, but after time you would notice the way enemies are laid out in a way to facilitate pretty interesting aerobatics to move faster.
The stage is difficult to get a good time on, but not difficult to win.
(The only part about this stage I don't like is the double-backing path, actually.)
QuoteI'm still laughing at the fact you joined just to complain about this.
Laughing, or choking back bitter internet tears?

Bravo to you sir.
I am mainly responding to what is seemingly a low tolerance to difficulty you're having. This is made even worse by you expressing yourself in a fashion that is more "rude" than that is actually necessary and your little "hate" for SMWC. (I would not be surprised if you were a rereg or a more extreme Raofan.) Your words are getting lost underneath your attitude.
I have been able to complete every entry I've went through so far except for two without tool assistance. Those two entries are getting a 0/20 in level design anyway. If these levels are getting you to tool abuse for one reason or another, then you need to step your game up.

If I watch a bad movie I can say it's bad because, unlike a hack, I can't do that by myself just like that. You can with smw because you just need a ROM, Lunar Magic and a brain, you don't need a full movie-equipment with a giantic team.

Weird thing is that I can handle it. Also I wouldn't care less about a guy not liking my hack. I do this for actual feedback and fun.

Not like you're the only one who can make something like that. You just have to be perseptive.

Because some random dude's complaining can totally make me cry. Yup, anytime.

Completely off topic, I think throwing this in may be relevant:

Also BMF54123's entry is amazing.

So what about critics and movie reviews, then? Should we disregard those too, because clearly anything other than complete gushing praise is HORRIBLE, AWFUL, TERRIBLE unless you feel like wasting hours of your life one-upping someone?
You're not going to win this argument. Stop trying. Lay down in front of the rocket.

But only positive feedback! Anybody not circlejerking you for a job well done is a horrible, evil, terrible person, who clearly should make their own hacks before daring to say anything!

The difference (I know it's hard for your peanut of a brain to understand) is that all of my posts that have used that (about three) also contained a mountain of actual words and content. Strawman arguments are the best.

Because making one-tile jumps over grinders with boo blocks is not fun or difficult. It is stupid.
Quote(I would not be surprised if you were a rereg or a more extreme Raofan.)
"I cannot be assed to do three seconds of research on who this person is, so I will blatantly accuse them of being a rereg of a person they don't even know."

Or maybe the people designing the levels should stop taking inspiration from Asshole Mario. That would be nice.

If you're referring to Kaizo Mario, its actual translation would be "Remodeled Mario". Not that it has any relevance to the current discussion but I felt like pointing it out.

Eh, but doesn't everyone know ASMT had some really terrible levels? That's not exactly a 'secret' or something people deny.

XKeeper, I totally get what you're saying, as someone who pretty much stopped playing hacks because of poor design. Some hack have flaws that are obviously bad from an objective point of view. Others have elements that are subjectively fun or unfun, depending on tastes. However I'm sure there are a lot of levels that have crippling flaws at the core, so all the power to you for skipping the "I didn't like it at all, but I guess other people might think it's good" bullshit!
I think you're being poorly received by other members mostly due to your extreme focus on the negative aspects, combined with your public distaste for our community for other reasons (which I don't care to talk about mostly because I am uninformed about them). These things don't instantly make your criticism invalid, but it's certainly understandable why you're being seen as a troll right now!
So yeah, everyone else, negative criticism can be constructive criticism. Don't take it as a personal attack when someone makes the observation that there are a ton of shitty levels, and tons of levels that have flaws we tend to ignore because everything else is "technically correct".

I called it Asshole Mario specifically because Kaizo doesn't actually mean what most people here think it means. (In fact, if you watch the video of me playing these hacks, you will see this exact point mentioned.)
sigh

That was the account I used for css3 abuse, yes. You found it! Way to go, have a cookie.

Thing is I take that negative feedback as something I would fix, but yours is not feedback, so yeah.

oh ok. And content for you would be...?
Also, my post had "actual words and content" too, ya know.
Oh, and just because I made a typo (when english is not my first language) I'm not a "winner". Not sure what would winner mean to you.
Looking foward to what will happen to you.
