Tehaxor69's YI editor?

Does anyone know if tehaxor69's editor will work with unheadered ROMs (or require them)? I don't want it to end up the same way that Lunar Magic did, forcing headers, so I thought I should bring that up as soon as possible.
Headers will not be required, but the editor will apply a UFO header to the ROM when needed if not present,
patching for the BRR audio data, and some ASM hacks will make use of this feature.

You're contradicting yourself. Adding a header before being able to use some features means the header is required for these features, which means the header is required.

The header is only needed for BRR patching and some ASM hacks, if one were to only edit level data of a ROM without a header, then save, the ROM would remain as is. If a BRR patch was applied to add Yoshi's GBA voice or a custom converted WAV, then a header would be added and information to keep track of the offset and size of the BRR would be put in it.
Still, though...that stuff you could put in an external file or something.
