Tip: Avoid blind jumps. If the player has to jump down a random hole to proceed with no indication at all that they can go down there, you've done something wrong!

The first three screens remind me of Green Hill Zone from Sonic 1.
The level design is looking good and I like the beach ExGFX. I have noticed that the time is rather low in the third screen though.
These graphics also remind me Sonic. I like the water color on the first screen, by the way. And the beach, hm, I don't see anything wrong with it. Good job!
The first three screens looks very good however it didn't remind me of Sonic and the fourth and fifth screen looks very good.

Oh yeah, I was going to extend the time but then I forgot about it :S Thanks for the reminder.
I really hate water levels.

Me too - I mean, cool graphics you've got there bro. Although this BG palette is unfitting at all.
Heh, well, nice graphics you've got here, you could use HDMA to create underwater effect, it'll be cool.

Yeah, I was thinking about doing that, but first I need to learn how to use it =P
Edit: It seems like the generator that creates the rippled effect was removed from the sprites section because credit was failed to be given, and I don't know where else I can find it. If someone could PM me with it or something that would be great.

Eeehh, I think it fits pretty well actually. But if more people think it's unfitting then I'll probably change it.

Small-ish update

The water will move up and down in this level, thanks to layer 2 =D

Aaaand some new Overworld graphics

Yeah, i haven't gotten a whole lot done. I've been busy. But I'll try and work on this more.
Just like this gimmick. The graphics you made are very cool too.

Also don't worry, everyone wants to take a while of hacking sometime.
It sure looks very good Zanzio. The graphics, palette and the gimmick looks very good.
I'm bringing this back from the dead maybe?
Anyways I have a couple of levels to show.

So the water world is done. I spent about a month working on the world 2 castle on and off, but I'm going to start working seriously on world 3, which is the cave world.

E: I almost forgot about this video I took a while back

Judging by the screens: I like the bay you made in the OW, and seems that you were creative with gimmicks in this world. I like it.

The video: I didn't see the whole video (went to about one minute), but I find it awesome. Firstly, the OW has a good happy feeling and design, and your level has good palettes, good music, good sprites, tl;dr it's awesome keep it up. ^^
Your OW looks great, the colors and design are awesome!

As for your video, your levels have a good design, a good palette, good music and sprites, it's awesome, good job! :3

Yeah, I tried to include a couple more gimmicks in this world than the last, and I think it worked pretty well. I've got quite a few ideas for world 3 gimmicks as well.

Thanks man ;)

Also, does anyone have a suggestion for the world 2 boss? I have boom boom as the boss, but he's more or less a placeholder, since he's the boss of world 1 as well :/
I actually tried using the tryclyde sprite I found in the sprites section, but it didn't work for me for some reason. Has anyone else gotten it to work, or is it just broken? (I doubt it is, though, since it got approved by the moderators).
I could check the sprite if you want.

As for a suggestion, maybe using Tryclyde as a Sub-boss and Clawgrip as the main boss, with some fire bros to assist him.

It's this one right here. The Tryclyde itself actually seems to work correcty. It seems as though the fireballs are the trouble. I made sure to insert them as the sprite after the tryclyde, but they don't appear when he's supposed to spit them out (he still makes the noise though), and it you place one by itself in a level, it will disappear in a puff of smoke.

That may be going a bit overboard on the bosses. I haven't really accomodated for a sub-boss, nor do I plan on adding one. Actually Clawgrip would probably make more sensefor a water castle because he's a crab, but I might use him in a later world because I find that he's more difficult to beat than Tryclyde.

Well clawgip with firebros(or icebros or what so ever) to assist is perfect for a second boss.It will sbe perfect for this world suited don't use the tryclyde ok.
