Well, here at my country, the weather is really twisted. The December of the 2011 year was really sunny and there wasn't any snow then, but I remember when there was the 1st May and it was snowing O_o. Now, when the February came, it started to snow a lot and it's really cold here. I heard there's -40°C (-40°F) in Russia. :O
Lots of rain and no snow at all. Welcome to the tropics.
Here in Canada we barley got any snow till the end of January where it snowed for 3 days and then the rain melted it.
Here in upstate New York, it's been quite the opposite. Almost no snow, when there's usually tons.

It's actually kind of weird, because before last week it's been raining almost every day, and now that it's finally cold enough for it to snow (about -4 - -10 °C during the days), it seems to have stopped entirely.

Actually not so strange, since the cold air Europe is getting is coming from hypercontinental areas - Northern Russia, so to speak. There's hardly any moist in the air, which means there are near zero chances of snowfall. However, when moist air does appear, it usually does so in the form of vague clouds and/or fog. At which point it is also possible for snow to appear as the air may be cold enough for the fog to freeze up.

Anyway, as I'm speaking we're nearing the end of the first cold wave in the 21st century here - it hasn't been nearly as cold as this since January 1997, the latest cold wave in the Netherlands up until now. Today is the ninth day of our current cold wave - if the temperature doesn't end up above freezing point tomorrow or Thursday (I give it a 50% chance) I think we'll have a cold wave lasting for 13 days - quite a length of time.

For those who don't know, the Dutch definition of "cold wave" is as follows: at least 5 consecutive days with maximum temperatures below 0°C, of which at least 3 days require a minimum temperature of below -10°C. Our lowest temperature in De Bilt (the "main" weather station) has been -18.9°C last Saturday morning, whereas Lelystad recorded -22.9°C.

e: note that I had been outside for a great part the evening before that ~-20°C was recorded here last Saturday. It was quite snowy too and I had to go by bike. The result? My left thumb was frozen. o_o And I didn't notice it until the morning after.

Most of the snow we got has melted now here in Buckinghamshire but forecasters are predicting temperatures of -11C tonight. Fuck me that is gonna be COLD!

I just checked BBC Weather, and the temperature for Buckinghamshire is only at an average of around -4C...

Anyway, we had a light snow shower this morning, but nothing else special. I just want it to snow very heavily here...#w{=(}

Last time We had snow in my City was around January on the Weekend...
But lately it's been getting warm outside. Another sign of the world-ending with Global Warming.
It says tomorrow is gunna snow couple inches; I bet it would mess up the 1:10 schedule since we have Parent-Teacher conferences.

One thing I do Hope; SNOW IN JULY!! #mlp{rd}
That'd be the best snowball summer fight
And maybe slide down a hill with a Nyan Cat board leaving rainbow colors on the snow lol #pop{rainbow}

True, it's colder than the temperatures we normally get.

It's been trying to snow today, we've had a few very light snow showers. I want it to snow heavily like it did in the rest of the country. #w{=(}
There was like no snow here at all and +1-4 degrees until like beginning of last week or so, where it just woudln't stop snowing.

Although it isn't much, but enough for your shoe to vanish in it. It's also like -7-15 every day too, which is pretty obnoxious.
Three weeks ago there was a snowstorm where I live. The temperature the past few days has been quite warm for mid-winter.
Started snowing again here at 6PM today.
Here in West Yorkshire we've had a lot of rain over the day, although I don't know if it has or will snow this evening. My worry is that a good portion of the rain may end up freezing over due to the coldness of the weather, and that may make getting around... interesting.

Although, it'd be nice if it'd give us tomorrow off so we can have an extra day added to our week of sleep~
We're finally getting a decent heavy snow shower here in Waterlooville, England! The snow's laying too! Hopefully it'll carry on snowing overnight. It doesn't look like it's going to stop anytime soon either. #w{=D}

Today (or actually yesterday for me) has marked the end of the coldwave. Quite a bummer that the temperature reached about +0.5°C in the day - since we would definitely be able to add another three days to the length of the coldwave if that hadn't had happened (today and Saturday will be icy cold again).

The end is in near sight. There's some thaw by Sunday and considerable thaw (and rain) by Monday and Tuesday. What happens afterwards, I don't know. I really don't hope we get into a dip again - it may very well happen. I would prefer a warm March though, and the closer we get to March with this cold weather, the smaller that chance becomes...
Incoming snowstorm - two to three inches expected. Of course, Louisville being Louisville, everyone rushed to clean out the store.
The fail report count this year is around 5. Five times they said it would have a great chance of snow and four of those five were perfect days for sitting out in the sun and the other one was cold rain (40 degrees).

Can I even listen to reports anymore or is there seriously something off with their equipment? This is why I don't listen to the weather. What part of 80% chance of snow = 4 nice sunny days and a slightly cold rain?

Yes, I am jelly of all of your snow. Perhaps next year? OR maybe when they predict a nice day it will be snow.
I feel trolled. I think I am turning cynical with the weather now.

Well, the thing to remember is that weather can't always be predicted correctly, even with the technology.

Still, I'm also surprised at how many times it's being said to snow, and it doesn't.
We had a light covering of snow overnight here, which is better than nothing. It melted pretty quickly, but I've heard more might be on the way. #w{=)}
