Shit, Well its started snowing again since 6pm
Kinda like what MarioFan22 said.

What blows my Mind is the fact is never F**king Snows on WeekDAYS!
Fucking hell, it's really cold here! It was -14C at about 6AM today. Right now, it's about -8C.
Despite living in Oregon, where we get enough annual rain to fill the fucking Atlantic ocean, we only get snow like.. once a year, and it lasts like, 10 minutes. Although we get a big snow storm every 3-4 years, which is the only predictable thing about our weather.
Never seen snow in my life, hasn't snowed where I live in the history of the existence of the place I live in.

I don't think you'll find it was that cold, I only live about an hour to an hour and a half's drive away from you, and here we had temperatures of about -3C or -4C at 6AM on Saturday morning. Just after then it was a bit higher than -8C. Besides, according to the Met Office website, the lowest temperature in the UK ever on record was -11C. Either the item you're using to measure the temperature with is not working properly, or your predictions are a little exaggerated.
It seems like winter has finally decided to show up. Its been snowing every day or every other day for a week or so. Its not a lot really, life finally feels like winter now that i see snow a lot.
Went on my Sunday bike ride adventure, and man did the snow make it more interesting! Some parts were as slippy as the Star Fox team, with me discovering early on that braking was not the solution unless you wanted a mouth filled with snow. Other parts were walls of snow up to half the height of the wheels, which did slow me down a bit. It has only snowed once properly here in my area of Yorkshire, but a week down and it seems like it only snowed yesterday!
The snow here is melting right now. Temperatures are now out of negative figures and have reached +3C.
About 1.5 inches of snow fell the night before yesterday. Now the weather reads 35 degrees Fahrenheit.
35F = ~+2C

That is cold but it should be warm enough to start melting the snow.
I find it funny that you Brits call -8C or such very cold - much different from continental Europe I guess, we get temperatures of -10C - -15C at least once (but usually far more often, and also lower temperatures) per winter here. And that is coming from someone who lives in a country with quite mild temperatures even, compared to the rest of Europe.

How would British people survive in Siberian winters? =P

Lots of layers and lots of damn fine tea.
*tosses his cynical weather hat*

Yeah, it only took 6 guesses but it looks like 6 is, erm, 6 times the charm? It is snowing fairly decent now.
All of the snow here has gone now. Temperatures are now about 4-6C and the BBC forecast says 8C around the end of the week.
It actually snowed here today in the morning, but sadly the temperature rose to about 4°C, so it all melted away by now. Oh well.
We've only had two days in which the ground was coated with snow all winter.

Shame, given that it's freezing anyway.
