Currently, there is a game thats being developed in
Visual Basic known as SMB: Remastered or NSMBX.

But there is a problem, the two admins of This small forum are too inexperienced too make such a huge game and it has gone open source.
We need all the help we can get to make this game a highly powerful
lunar magic type tool that can make Super Mario games with pure ease.

Please help and give the few hundred people of the forum, a fantastic level editor/maker tool that will allow things far better than it's predecessor SMBX could ever do.

This. We need people that actually know what they're doing. I really don't know why they thought they could make this on their own, but they can't. If you're even remotely interested in helping with this project, keep in mind that it doesn't have to be a 'new' SMBX, and in fact I think it would be much better if it weren't, for various reasons. It would benefit the reception and popularity more if it were to be something new, something that isn't based off another fangame. Something like SMBX was at it's time of release.

@ xxxzzz1, I believe the name NSMBX died in a fire. the name NSMBX is only used for the forum (don't ask me; I have no idea what smm was thinking).

Also known as signature. This is a block of text that gets attached to the end of every of your posts. HTML is allowed.
Yes they have, because the only actual work done on the level editor was making buttons that do nothing in Scirra construct. The other real code was made by Mr. GameandWatch, and I don't even know where he is.

Super Mario Bros. X

Isn't there any sort of page where one can find basic information on what this game's about and what's planned?

All I could find is a link to a dead website.
