Whilst I've never had the chance to experience it myself, Valentine's Day this year has made me think quite a bit, and thanks to a little aid from the discussions in the Out of the Loop thread, I came to a little realisation: People tend not to talk directly to one another on the forums. I know I am not the only one who has in the past felt invisible in this site, and I thought since we're in the spirit of love and friendship (or at least, you should be), we should attempt to use it to benefit others.

What I want this thread to be is a consecutive complementary chain. By this I mean that the poster after me should attempt to, I know this may be hard, write complements to me, and then the next poster will try to do the same to them.

Now, this thread will either be a fountain of joy and happiness or sink faster than the titanic at double speed, so I'll set a fair few ground rules:

-Attempt to write something meaningful and fairly lengthy, I'd rather there weren't posts like, "OH HEY! You awesome bro, have cookie!!!", the purpose of this is to remind people that they exist, and to make them feel a little more like being here is worthwhile. I'm not saying write an essay, but it'd be nice if people put some serious thought into their posts.
-Only post in the thread once, I don't want people whoring for attention.
-Leave sarcasm out. I know it can be hard for some of us on here, but please, just this once, write something that actually means what you just wrote.
-Don't just go for your friends. If you're like me, then you probably talk to them too much, and they'll know all too well what you think of them. If you can, give someone you rarely even try to talk to something nice to say.

If the rules are not followed I suppose I'll bold/underline/make-incredibly-big the rules as applicable in some sort of vain hope of improvement.

I may be forgetting a thing or two, but I suppose I'll leave it there and see where things go. In a week I'll see if this has bombed or been of some value, and if it's dying out then I'll finish the cycle and get it closed. Until then, I enjoy seeing how this goes, I hope it is of benefit to people!
You are a kind-hearted individual, wishing to help others and such. And you are likable to many. Plus, I liked the Secret Santa Level you made for Vic Rattlehead. I also admire your interest in writing.

What makes you the person you are is that you're willing to contribute to this forum and express your feelings.
TomPhanto, you seem to be very much a people person. You always seem very outgoing and happy. You also have a very modest side in some aspects. You're not somebody who complains when things don't go right which is an admirable trait.
Both your porting skills and personality around the forum have improved greatly since you first joined, and you've become a relatively nice guy to talk to (whenever we actually talk, that is, and given how little I manage to find time to get on IRC, that doesn't seem to be often).

...I was never very good at complimenting.
^^^ I'd to say that, even if sometimes you overreact with someone (as far as i remember, though, because the last time you overreacted with me when i was too perseverant and rigid was plenty of time ago), you always come up with funny and amusing contents (like the DoD and your latest Vanilla Level Design entry), and when you post funny stuff, this is when you gain my sympathy too (and not only mine). I hope it keeps going like this for long. (even because an admin has not to be looked bad: it's like a famous star, but this is a bigger buisness).
Well the thing probably everybody tells you, is that you are a great artist and that SMWC Cartoon is really amazing, too, so I'm pretty positive that you'll have success in what you're aspiring to be, which isn't something everybody can say.
You also appear to be a pretty happy and positive person, and even though I barely know you yet due to your absence, I do think we will get along quite nicely.

.. I tried my best.
I love your layouts and you are overal a great person that likes to help people when they need it.
I also like how you unlike some other people here, are able to both take and make jokes, without going on a rampage about it.

Eh, I'm bad at this stuff XD
Alright lemme give this a shot. I don't know you well, but I like your sense of humor, and the way you've carried yourself when I have seen you on the forums. On smaller notes, I like your choice of rank-set, your layouts, and your choice of avatar, although I could say the same about a lot of users. What I most like about you though, is your taste in music. Although the one time I heard you DJ was short, and quite a while ago, I remember greatly enjoying your taste in music. Overall, although you seem to be spreading your talent a little thin, you produce great stuff and have a good overall feel about you.

I hope that was acceptable, I don't know Chikane well at all, and am pretty bad at this sorta thing.
I have no idea who you are, but I'll go by face value here.

- You have Tatrion's Mark of Honor, which is truly amazing.
- You're an older user, and you seem to lurk. Though I'm not nearly as old of an user as you are, I feel we have something in common :D and that's awesome.
- You're a fan of the Touhou games, which are terribly fun and frustrating at the same time.
- Most of your posts are pretty good overall, and that's always a great thing.
- I'll have to take a look at a hack of yours, because now it interests me. Going in, it will probably be good :D

I'll probably add more later, but you seem like a great person overall!
Let see, I got quite a few things to say about you, since you're generally an all around good guy! #w{=3}

I like how you never take yourself seriously, you remind of a guy who I can have a laugh with, and whenever I see you on the forums you always seem to be friendly and helpful and can always add to a conversation.

I find it awesome how you've taken the responsibility of being the radio DJ and I'm excited to know what you've got planned for it coming up (with C3's right around the block).

You're certainly someone I'd like to get to know better.
Lemme give it a shot. also note that im doin dis only to get feedback too

You seem to be a nice guy, I've never really talked to you as far as I remember, but you sound pretty friendly. Also your posts are mature and smart, too. #w{=)}

You're also the only SM64 hacker I've seen, and that's really awesome because my first hacking experience was with SM64. You're way, way more experienced that I was, that is.

You're too somebody I want to know better.
I don't know you that well, but from looking at a few of your posts...
-You're helpful to newbie hackers.
-You don't seem like an unfriendly person.
Going by a particular pattern I've noticed, I can probably guess who the next poster is.
I don't know your guess so my post could actually be a surprise. :P

You're a really nice and friendly person from what I've seen, Sokobansolver. I know you're mostly involved with Kaizo- and very hard puzzle hacks, and on the top of that, you seem to be one of the best "centralian" who makes brain-melting complex puzzles (well, beside worldpeace, of course, but he's not that active). I've never seen you in a bad mood or posting stupid things which is very positive and quite optimistic (I like optimism!). You're also a pretty active visitor of the Media forum here and your musical taste seems to be pretty great.
You're a nice, helpful, kind person, quite intelligent. There's a reason why you are staff.
@CommieYoshi: I see you around here every once in a while, but not often, and I have never talked to you personally, so I can't go into great detail... oh well.

You're a nice fellow, and judging from your earlier posts I can see you're a familiar face in the Computers & Technology forum, and you seem to have a lot of computer and electronics knowledge. You're a helpful guy, you're smart, and probably a fun person to talk to. Your posts are short and go straight to the point, as noted in your post above :P
Althought i don't know you that well, i can see that you're a pretty good SMW hacker, and i really like your hack and SMWCP2 level. You seem to be an alright guy overall.
Hmm... do not know much about you, but you seem like a pretty chill person, which I really like about people, as I am pretty chill also =D You also seem to be a person that gets straight to the point, which I really admire as a characteristic in people.
Every now and then I see you posting, and you seem like an all-around good user. Also, your hack looks pretty cool as well. Hey, you're probably a better hacker than me. :V
You are a very nice person, who always tries everything you can if somebody needs your help. You also are very alive and positive-thinking, and a very good user. Altrough you don't see to hack SMW very often, you do have skills, and if you would take the time to make a SMW hack, I bet that it would turn out fantastic.
I would absolutely like to get you to know better.
KevKot, I can tell from you being a Soldier class in my forum game that you're one to take the initiative for things, even if the end result doesn't turn out in your favor, to help out your friends. You also seem like a cool person that doesn't afraid of anything, judging from the rest of your posts.

Inb4 thread death.
