I'm not really sure how they are going to make a RTS, if that wins.

Why would I donate to Mojang and the Humble Bundle for a game created in 60 hours when I can just donate directly to the charities itself? I want my money going to developers who've spent months on their games and charities that really need the money rather than let it take a detour via the most financially obsessed company out there. I don't need Mojang stepping in to tell me "hey, here's some charities, and for giving them some of your money we're going to give you this shitty 60 hour game you'll probably never play again!".

not to mention they got "money markers," at times when they reach certain amounts planned as, "HEY, THIS GUY WILL MAKE A TWITTER ACCOUNT LIKE ANYONE ELSE CAN AND HAS BUT THIS WILL BE HARDCORE."
when I read/heard that, I facepalmed.

You know, since it is a humble bundle (does it count in this case?), you can choose to give all of your donation to charity. Neither of them have to see a penny of it.
Although they will undoubtedly see some money out of it, you act like Mojang is evil for wanting to make a game to raise money for charity.

I'm pretty sure they mentioned all proceeds will go to charity.
Also, apperently a company wanting to make money is a rediculous and entirely new concept.

I hate Mojang's prying hands, not their intentions. I just think that the Humble Bundle was something they should've left alone to benefit both charities and unrecognised indie developers. I have never heard of Osmos, EDGE, Aquaria or Shank before the bundle and, now that I have, I follow the developers and their game status daily. That's the positive effect the bundle has and Mojang delaying their next bundle for a 60 hour dating simulator just doesn't seem productive to me.

It didn't even end up as a dating simulator. >_> The result of the voting is an RTS-shmup with a steampunk Ancient Egypt theme. (wut) You really shouldn't be looking down on Mojang with just assumptions, y'know... Besides, how do you know that the next bundle is definitely delayed due to this? For all we know, they may not even have another bundle planned out yet, or perhaps they could run two bundles at the same time. I dunno! :/
In any case, I'm looking forward to seeing what Mojang can do with this oddball theme. Heh heh heh...

Most people don't donate to charities on their own you know. Typically, publicity stunts and such net more donations to charities.

I watched some of it. Of what I watched, I saw Notch shooting his teammates with nerf guns while prancing around singing.

Don't take it out of context.

Watching it right now. Notch is lazily programming while some people are making odd sounds in the background equivalent to someone saying "mrrrmadurrrmafrghhhhh".
And by lazily, I mean he's frequently stopping, and writes a new line every 10 minutes or so.
I think I like Wolfire's version better.
