Level Name feedback thread?

Would it be of any point to create a thread for feedback on the ideas for a hack's level names you have? I'm pretty much posting here because I couldn't find another subforum as suitable as this one was and/or is.

Not really. Most people agree that level names aren't really important compared to level design and whatnot. If you really wanted help with it, ask in your hack thread (if you have one) or this thread.
Okay then, but pretty much the only things I currently have in general at the moment are level names, level concepts and map concepts. I guess I'll just have to ask for feedback once I actually get fully into SMW and YI hacking. Right now I actually have all the level names for a YI hack, and names for a lot of an SMW hack's worlds.
Well I recommend thinking of of level names once you actually design the levels rather than thinking of them beforehand. But I don't see any problem with creating a thread in the SMW Hacking Discussion forum to ask for feedback on your level names.
Actual topic:

Wouldn't your own thread in the WIP forum work best for this? Level names aren't a huge deal, and are VERY specific to the hack in which you are working on. You don't have to follow the standard Mario style (world #), nor the alliterative or punny names most hackers use.

Tangential topic:

I've always liked "world #" names. Some call it laziness; I call it manipulating uniqueness. Standard levels get standard names. Special levels get special names. So when you see something other than a "world #" name, you know shit's going down.

In super mario world, the "vanilla secret" and "donut secret" levels were cool in part because of their name. It's saying "hey, this level's special." Taken up a notch with the special world levels, which did have unique names while no where else did.

When every level name is special, none of them are.
