I don't know how to make it so screenshots don't stretch the page. Any advice on that would be nice.
So yeah. I have a Minecraft Server. It's small, with about 5 regular users. It's still in development, and it is survival/economy based. So it you're looking for that small-server, still-in-developmet charm, look no farther!
What we have
-land ownership- claim your own, or buy some
-automated trading with chest shops
-npcs that talk, walk, perform services and give quests
-quests (see above bullet point)
-an arena for your fighting needs
-potential to have more built
Rules:
1. Griefing is NOT allowed. Worldguard can be used to protect your stuff, but the world isn't bubble-wrapped unfortunately.
2. No excessive vulgarity. Or spam. You'll be warned first, then punnishment will come.
3. No mods or cheating.
4. Don't be a douchebag. Of course you can defend yourself if verbally assaulted. But don't be the offender.
5. No PVP outside of the Arena and the Nether. All of the Nether is PVP enabled, even in quest areas- perfect for looting. The Arena battlefields are perfect for controlled duels
Punishments range from mutes, jail time, and bans, depending on the offense.
Currently we are not white-listing so come on in and stretch the bounds of Worldguard have fun!
The server is not online 24/7. Generally, it will be on weekdays 4-11 pm eastern time, and on...much longer (usually) on weekends. IF you need it on during any special time periods, let me know.

Second floor of the spawn (community) center.
Main marketplace. It will grow/develop more as people buy shop space.
NPC's such as this can perform services such as teleportation.
Exchange chests such as these allow for easy money-to-currency conversion (and vice-versa)

Edgius, a military city currently under construction.
List of quests I have completed. We currently have 10 working quests, all featuring a variety of gameplay and story.

VoxelSniper
Lockette
CommandBook
WorldSaver
RepairChest
Is this all survival? I don't care if i'm creative or survival.

Gameplay is based around survival. We do have some builder though.
I live in EST time so the server is on generally on when I wake up to when I go to bed, or from when I get home from school. We've gotten 4 new members since I made this post, bringing the total up to about 8 regular users. Some of them are from Sweden I believe.
Also, we've added the plugin MCMMO, which adds skill levels and special abilities to the game.

I would, but since you've made it quite a ways passed the tutorial and even own your own home, I don't think I need to anymore ;)

So, I'm having a great time with the server. If there was a few more people, I think it would be an absolute blast, but I am sure there will be more people online when it's not a Sunday night.
So, after I get accustomed to the town, I'm going to sell my house and make my own. Hell, I could probably become the town architect, just making and selling designer homes. That... is a possibility, yes?

It depends. Nothing is set in stone yet and I'm not against it at all.
The current direction people seem to be going in is building their own towns though.

The server is up and should be working, but with Minecraft version 1.1 only. This youbue video explains how to revert:

We will be using 1.2 for the server once the plugins have been updated, so if you really don't want to revert, you could just wait until that time to play on the server.

The server is up and ready for 1.2.3, but it is still being tested for stability.
We also have a website now. Check it out and check it regularly at http://yaycraft.webs.com. It will likely be much more updated and active than this thread.
