Hi there, I have some problems using Snes9x. When I go in a level with custom music, I hear a low, yet ear-scorching sound. From there on there are no sound effects and I can only hear one instrument of the music. 5 seconds later, the music stops and is replaced by a VERY high:
-biiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiip!<-Edit: Louder than Mike Kirby!
And when I leave the level, it crashes.
Also, I'm using HFD's Addmusic. If bsnes compatibility means to drop Snes9x compatibility... I don't think it's worth it.
But... I'm posting here because maybe it's my sound settings that are bad. So... What are your sound settings?
EDIT: Actually, after many tests, I found out that only one song makes it bug: Chrono Trigger - Schala's Theme. And it doesn't crash the game everytime. Sometimes I can still go to other levels, and even on the Overworld if I'm lucky. But as soon as this song gets in, all others are screwy too.

(Note, our ultimate goal is not "bsnes-compatible", it is "SNES-compatible)
The newest SNES9x has a much more accurate sound engine, and it was found that bugs in the older SNES9x and the current ZSNES allowed our broken music hacks to perpetuate unnoticed. The issue is that we were using code that relied on an emulator bug, different from the actual console and accurate (and up-to-date) emulators. What is compatible with bsnes and the SNES should also be compatible with the new SNES9x.
All the songs in the Music section have been remoderated for compatibility, I recommend re-downloading that song and using it or comparing it to the version you are currently using.

Didn't the executable that comes with HFD's Addmusic fix that? I mean, the one that adds the header? Oh man. I am so dumb sometimes. It can't fix song-specific bugs, of course. It only adds a header.
Anyway, that was the problem. Thanks!
