As some of you know, everyone has to switch to the new YouTube layout, which is AWFUL. ZippCast uses the old YouTube design. I'm not going to tell you my user name yet, because I'm afraid someone might steal it. Hahah! EDIT: I was wrong, this new layout isn't that bad once you get the hang of it. (I still like the old one better though)

Why would I switch from the biggest video uploading and sharing site just because some people can't get behind the fact that this new layout isn't the problem, it's just that people hate changes and like to make a big deal out of everything.

Because, you can't even see the channel comments. Subscribers, and friends become invisible. And it's just confusing. Maybe I would return to YouTube if they fixed their confusing, and crappy layout.

This sounds like just about every other change made to big-name sites (YT, Facebook, etc) ever. People hate it right before/for the first month or so, and then they forget it happened until the next redesign comes along, at which point they say "Oh, this change we hated so much before is awesome. Why are you changing it again?"
Fun cycle.

Nope, sadly I am still hating this layout lol. I cannot customize it AT ALL... except for how it is laid out, but that is just stupid =/ If they change that, then I will be okay with it. If not... I just do not know what I am going to do, probably just upload my videos to some not very well known source. I have had the new layout on my channel for a while now, and it just looks... so unorganized, ya know? So I guess I could check out "ZippCast" sometime.

I find it behaves better for me; for a person who browses videos , the new video navigation on channels sucks less.
I really fucking loathe the thing at the bottom though.

As long as I can still watch videos perfectly fine, I don't care what Youtube does to its layout.

Today seemed to have been one of those days where what I didn't like is actually looking a bit better. As mentioned, as long as I can view videos without Youtube ruining my favorite Youtubers then I am just fine. They have added some neat things if you look past some of the not as great changes.
Regardless, Youtube is THE site for my video/LP watching entertainment. I am not going away from it anytime soon.

Youtube won't always be THE site for entertainment. Nothing lasts forever. Look at MySpace for example. Oh, and since Google owns Youtbe now, it said that Google tracks all your personal information, credit card info, every key you type. ZippCast doesn't do that.

Probably not, but I wouldn't rule it out. If I do, YouTube's new layout will have nothing to do with it. As long as I still have videos to upload and as long as there are still videos to watch that I like, the layout change shall not be the death of my YouTube experience. One thing I like about ZippCast: it looks like it has the good ol' five star rating system. One thing I don't like: IT TAKES SO ************************* LONG TO LOAD!

It's the servers. They were not expecting that many people to join, so the server messed up, they're currently fixing it.

Honestly I think something such as a new layout being the death of somebody's channel is kind of very stupid. I'll admit that it doesn't look the best and that hiding things such as subscribers and friends wasn't the best idea...but big deal. It's not like the main purpose of youtube has been ruined due to that; which is to watch or upload videos of course. Sites are going to change eventually, just deal with it or don't log on. (A few less whiners wouldn't hurt honestly.) Now when youtube actually makes uploading or watching videos difficult....that's a different story.
ZippCast? I never heard of ZippCast actually. I think I'll check it out and maybe make an account just to have one; who knows maybe I can make that channel different from my youtube channel.

*sniffle sniffle* Okay... *cries in corner*
Anyway lol... It will not load on my computer for some reason? So I guess I am just sticking with Youtube for now. Also a good reason not to switch to a different Video Uploading Site is that I won't have to move all my videos. I thank you all for making me realize how much of a whiny bitch I was being =) No, I am serious haha, thanks.

I don't really think it's more like people think it's awesome now, I think they just stop caring and deal with it.
I still hate the new layout because it's a lot less functional than the older ones, but it's obviously not worth ranting about for a month straight, or even a day for that matter! Didn't like the previous one that much either (when they initially changed the homepage to the vertical design), but it was still better than the current one IMO.

Google owns Youtube since 2006, so you're kind of late on this, and those rumours are kind of ridiculous anyway.
Why would Google track your every keystroke, and how the fuck would they get to your credit card information through Youtube?
Also you can hardly compare MySpace to YouTube, MySpace is a socializing site, while YouTube is there to upload videos easily (and you can't deny that the process of uploading videos has been optimized heavily over the course of just a few years).
AND MySpace was a flaming piece of shit anyway, it gave its users too much control of their sites to be good, you can't do that and expect it to look clean and be easy to browse.
And to top it all off, ZippCast's servers will never ever be strong enough to 'become the new Youtube', as we can see by its current downtime already.

ZippCast is incredibly slow to me. It took at least 15 minutes to load the main page, and my internet it decent enough.
The new layout is not bad when you know how it works.
