Not quite sure where to post this...
I put DiscoMan's Disable2Players patch into my ROM. Upon loading it in ZSNES, it said "BAD ROM" at the bottom next to everything else that shows up there.
I tried to remove it with Xkas Anti, but nothing changed.
Or maybe...
EDIT: I also removed "Luigi.asm" (separate Luigi GFX), and it still gave me the error.
Of course, I also used Smallhacker's Misc. Text Editor to change something...

If the ROM does not load, did you insert the patch in sufficient freespace? (If you are unsure, check the tutorials sub-forum.)
If the ROM actually loads fine after you patch it, then the 'Bad ROM' issue isn't a problem; just save in Lunar Magic to fix it.

Xkas Anti doesn't have a 100% chance of recovering ROMs, so you can either try again, or resort to a backup.

A bad checksum just means that the ROM was edited by a tool other than Lunar Magic. If the ROM works as it should otherwise, you can just ignore it (and saving in LM corrects the checksum).

Well, I saved in Lunar Magic. When I opened it in ZSNES, the BAD ROM and checksum error were gone, but it still was all black.

I tested here and no black screen, I think you're doing something wrong, try extracting/inserting (Ex)GFX and then try patching again.
Also, I'll submit a new version with the text changed.

I also used Smallhacker's Misc. Text Editor... MAYBE THAT MESSED IT UP!

I haven't used any ExGFX.

Oops... well, I haven't quite changed any GFX yet, though I momentarily tried to fix the Piranha Plant sprite (ignorant of the fact that it was still glitchy, and that it wrecks the Flopping Cheep-Cheep.

It doesn't matter if you edited them or not, just extract and insert them.

You must extract and then insert because LM will insert a ASM hack that this patch uses, so if you don't do this process, the jump code will jump into a garbage data, crashing the hack.

I extracted and inserted. I still get the blank screen of death on startup. Nothing happens at all.
Edit: FIXED! LOCK AWAY!
