I downloaded it and the mari0.exe file won't run. Anything that I could be missing? like a driver?

Runs fine on my laptop. SMB looks good in HD. Online multiplayer isn't done yet so I wont be playing this much (im not playing it again).

1Updudes, download the LÖVE engine and download the Source version from the stabyourself homepage. That worked mighty fine for me.

Downloaded both and when I opened the mari0.love file it came with a blue screen saying there was an error? anything else I gotta do?

If you're looking to use the cheats, you'll want to enter the konami code into the main menu. Use the B and A keys on your keyboard, not whatever you have set to run or jump.
Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, B, A, and then the Contra NES title screen sound effect plays.
Otherwise, you have to beat the original game, and it tells you you can play as Steve. I have no idea if that unlocks all the cheats or just Minecraft mode.

It unlocks all of them.
My personal favorite Cheat is Sonic Rainboom. It just makes the whole thing 20% cooler.

Mari0 1.4 was released quite recently. Includes more love for the level editor and a bunch of bug fixes.
Once this game gets working online multiplayer I'd love to see some smwc action for this game (4 players at the same time seems like a lot of fun). And if there's enough interest we could probably even make an smwc map pack.
