What about adding tags for the [BG] and [FG] gfx? I know it would be a lot of work, but it would make it so much easier for us to find a good matching fg or bg.

Last time I checked, there are already tags designating BG, FG, Sprites, and other graphics in the Graphics section.
Unless you mean adding links in the Graphics section that would jump to the general BG, FG, etc. areas of the page, in which case, that seems like a pretty nice idea.
E: Oh, I missed the part about finding fitting BGs corresponding to a certain FG. Uhhh...I'm not sure how that would work aside from putting in links to the corresponding GFX in the GFX descriptions...

Regarding the matching FGs and BGs, I'm pretty sure he just meant that you could search for a tag and be able to find BGs that fit a certain theme, and then find FGs that match the same theme. Think of it as if you had to use two songs for one level.

I don't see why not, but what tags would you like to see? The same ones from the music section?

Got my vote for this. Ctrl+F'ing say, grassland, will only get you so far since most games don't make the theme of the stage/level/ect. blatantly obvious in the name.

For once... I agree with someone else's suggestion for the site.
Why? Say I wanted a 'Grassland" type Foreground, naturally I would search using [Ctrl+F], but only about a quarter of the actual grassland type foreground/backgrounds actually use "Grassland" in their name, thus you not being able to find what's been there the whole time.
So... my vote is for this.

Really the sections just need more columns. The description column serves like 8 purposes in the graphics section. If there was a column for original vs ripped, another for bg/fg/sprite/etc, another for source game, etc, it'd be much easier to find stuff.

It at least needs the descriptions on the graphics list if anything. If it gets too much, we can just do what the music section did and use tags for the whole thing.

This. I happened to have a lot of trouble finding fitting GFXs, such as "canyon" or something, but I'm pretty sure there are other tilesets that were what I was looking for, it just had the level's name on its name, and I can't find out if it fits my level (unless it was drawn, in which case they always put what they can be used for).
