Tip: Layer 3 backgrounds and tides disappear when you hit a message box, so plan your level around that. For example, you can add a sublevel without layer 3 at the start/midpoint, and include your message there.

so I'm replaying yoshi's island ds

man I forgot that there weren't items in it anymore. oh well.

also on and off playing banjo tooie (trying for a 100% run). it's mostly blind (I basically know everything about it but haven't actually played it), and am kind of most worried about the final canary mary race-thing.
Back in mid 2008 my dad bought Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection for our PS3. I only really checked it out fully in late 2009, where I found Shining Force II and absolutely loved it.

A couple of weeks ago I booted the game back up, restarted my file, and cleared it. If you have never heard of/played it, get a Sega Genesis emulator or something and PLAY IT.

Shining Force II is by far one of the most incredible games I have ever played. The only real downside to this game in my opinion is the ending.
While Lemon does some awesome shit, it got shitty itself when it talked about the princess needing to be "kissed by her true love to be awoken from a deep sleep". It could have been something tossed in on the side, but to put major focus on something like that... ugh.

Regardless, up until then the plot was awesome. There's a large number of force members with diverse abilities suitable to any type of player. The music is freaking amazing, the game feels so smooth and constant, there is a large amount of traveling open to the player, the difficulty can be a little jumpy at certain areas but it never feels like an unfair battle is tossed at you, and there's many more reasons that this game was so amazing.

Seriously. Play this. Like, right now.

Do it. It's so worth it.
Got a PSP and I'm playing Monster Hunter Portable 3rd. Game is fun as hell. I think these games are one of the best co-op type games I've ever played. Sadly it seems Capcom is not showing interest in localizing these games in the future.
fuck you capcom
Finally picked up the 3DS Ocarina of Time yesterday. I'm already at the Forest Temple and am deeply regretting not getting a bunch of the heart pieces as a child (since I can't go back yet).

I find it incredible that OoT3D is supposed to be a major graphical improvement and yet the great fairy still has daggers for boobs.
man I forgot how much the yoshi series wears me out completely.

and on tooie, I've 100% everything that was possible so far. I'm going to start cloud cuckooland whenever the hell I end up having time for it. Apparently it's much easier than the past two worlds (which is a relief)... except for ms. canary (which I'm dreading).

also I'm clocked at over twenty hours on tooie. hey, it's my first time, and I plan on just replaying everything again after so I get a bit more decent play time amount.
Lately, I've been playing Majora's Mask and Minecraft mostly. I sometimes pick up my DS and play KH 358/2 Days, but not so much.
All i've been playing lately is Isaac punctuated by Battlefield 3. Got resistance 3 though, and i've been playing a awful lot of that. It kicks ass.
Got a Steam gift card earlier and decided to, with a little help from my sister, buy the Portal bundle. It's pretty fun. Instead of starting over, I started from where I left off of the demo. I'm currently stuck on test chamber 15 of the first game. Have not touched the second game yet. Since getting the upgraded portal gun that can shoot orange portals, I decided to take the opportunity to shoot a blue portal on the floor and an orange portal on the ceiling above the blue portal, and just fall forever. I also made it rain cubes that way.
so hey got to canary mary in cloud cuckooland in banjo tooie. I discovered my gaming limits. totally not going to happen.

so in other words I started banjo kazooie nuts and bolts today or so. you know, it got a lot of hate, but it's an actually fun game.

lol is it that hard? I never had any problems with it. Try mashing the A button with both thumbs alternately, with your left one bending over from the dpad grip? I get some mad pushing done that way.

I'm like the absolute worst at button mashing. Also I'm playing the arcade versions, and surprisingly there's a lot of people on the internet who suggest using the rock band drum kit. In hindsight it would work but I'd have to try that.

or maybe I should try a turbo controller....

I heard somewhere that Mary's speed is actually relative to your speed, so if you go really fast, she'll go really fast if you can't keep it up. Try maintaining a good speed that doesn't tire you out and then haul ass near the end to win.

Just wait, man.

Trust me on this.
Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Blue Team:

Gotta love replaying this game. A lot of nostalgia for me. I love the story and it has some great music in it.

yeah, it's just to be honest I have trouble keeping up with her minimal speed. it's suggested to keep slightly behind her the whole race, then at the top of the hill, if you go faster you should propel far in front of her winning. that's only for one of the races, I'm pretty sure though.

I dunno, I'll give it a really good try soon.

anyway nuts and bolts. Definitely never going to get the t.t. tropheys as I'm a hilarious driver and at the end of the day I feel like such a dick because of it (I like ram into everyone by accident). I think I'm somewhere in banjoland now, idk. it's my favorite world so far.

Oh, you're playing with an Xbox Controller. That is indeed a bit harder to mash on. Whatever, don't give up now bro. Show some persistence! #w{xD}
I had started Portal 1 on Monday and beat it the next day. I started Portal 2 on Wednesday and now I'm at the final fight against
Wheatley.
Apparently Portal comes before sustenance, because it's that addicting. I have also started fiddling around with the level editor.
Binding of Isaac: Hell Yeah. Can't wait to waste away my free time with this beauty! :3 I suck at it but still.

I'm in the same boat. I've clocked about 10 hours on it and I've yet to kill Mom once. I can usually get to The Depths 2 before I die. Ridiculously fun and addicting, but I'm pretty bad at it.

I've also noticed a pattern I have. Sometimes I great items, like a dead fetus helper and cancer combo, only to die on the second area.

And then I'll have no items but make it so far.. ;___;

Anyway, I've also got back into Super Mario 3D Land. Trying to unlock the final secret level.
