I'm fine with all of that, SyStemKrash should probably post the screenshot of what he showed me yesterday here. As far as I can tell it's fine right now.

Maybe the people who wanted the normal oasis with Yoshi should do that section and the people who want the cursed area should do that. But there are still a long list of questions while I was trying to get answers on IRC that I still have no idea what the answers to them are. Like,

1. Where is this W9 path going to be - beginning, middle or end?
2. How are we going to deal with its activation?
3. Where's the Secret Exit going to be?
4. How will the secret exit be obtained?
5. How long should the W9 path be?
6. What kind of gimmicks will be needed for that W9 path?
7. What kind of setting - vertical/horizontal, scrolling, etc.?
8. Do we need graphics for the W9 Path?
9. What kind of enemies are along that path?

People decided on relaying as a way to do that - designing 5 things. SyStemkrash did the first 5, Riolu is doing the second 5, then Teyla, then Dinomar, and then me. It would be nice if after each person is done with their block section they should post it here so I can test each section and see if improvements need to be made.

but I think that the W9 path should use the same graphics as the regular path, just colored purple and evil and stuff.

Ah, right. Here are the five screens (00-04) that I did. Linked because it's a big image. Only the top water tile was inserted, because I thought that people wanted to do a gimmick level, where the tides would make Mario sink more. There was a message box there that would explain the gimmick. After that, the idea for the level then switched to an ordinary level with no gimmicks.

Well, i need help, or more correctly, a tip: should i set an exit to another level somewhere? are 09 screens enough for a section? if you give me some advice, i may continue well. if i don't have anything to add, it's even better.
we, anyway, should have even a ready level layout or at least a ready scheme. at least it is what i think.
For the exit to another level, I'd think you could put an exit there but not design that part just yet.

I think what other people were saying is that the level all fits in one level, 103. I don't know for sure, that's what I was trying to ask before but I still don't have enough info.
Dinomar, I'd say, design what you want, and if you feel that section of the level should stop and go somewhere else, make the exit; if you still have screens left to build, build the remaining ones in the sublevel. That way, we all still make the same number of screens.

cstutor: We never said we wanted the whole level to fit in one level number.

In any case, i chosen to not insert a exit: i thought it was early an exit between screen 09 and 0E. Now it's turn of Teyla.

Sorry if i delayed, because i may have done it even some hours ago. I just had some buisness of mine.
Passed on. Added a room for a key. You need to bring Yoshi along to get it. :P

What do you guys think? I think it could work, since I was shown an article a couple of days ago with a similar problem. It was...very difficult for me.
I dunno, we should decide about it.

As of right now Dinomar, I finished up my portion of the level. TMI might have to drop the level designing portion of the level.

I'm up right now trying to figure out this Layer 3 thing with the water and I don't know very much about inserting Layer 3. As far as the opening to World 9 that's not decided yet.

I'm still doing the ASM bits, though!
In the while, i claimed five sublevels.

See, if we want to go with our idea, we need more levels because if we want to use layer 3 water (or layer 2 if things go bad), we cannot go past screen 0F in any case. So, more sections plus the world 9 entrace, i think with five sublevels we should be Ok.
I'm pretty sure you're not limited to 0F screens with layer 3 water if you don't go about the interaction in a moronic way, especially since you don't want any currents in the water.

Actually, Layer 3 tides use half of the level for the water interaction (Smallhacker said that here in a more detailed way), so this is why i don't want to go past screen 0F.
Yea but you're not going to use the default SMW water since that one has currents and is designed to be able to rise, which yours won't.
