Maybe we can find a topic to flame, and not the people that support it.

How about Justin Beiber? That's who I wish was off of the internet. (No, I don't hate him, I just don't think he earned his popularity.)

One thing I wish was truly gone from the face of the internet is haters. Do you know why? Because they start up flamewars and act as if there self righteous about it.

So what if I'm a Mario fan, I love the games. There good, really good. The series always brings something new to the table and the focus is always just on gameplay. If I wanted a good story, I will read a book or watch a movie.

But it just not that, it's the fact that people get inspired from the series to create their own fan art, fan games, fan music and fan stuff. I think many people can get drawn closer into the Mario series with just the stuff fans create.

It's typical how fan-haters will knock a series just because they think it has to be directly targeted at them to be successful. Not just their age group, but actually them. They then make up any excuse to dump their opinions on everybody else when it's not up to their standards and they see other people liking it. I don't care if you think Mario is for little kids, Nintendo is smart enough to know not to put all your eggs in one basket.

Boy, those types of people are assholes, glad we don't bash stuff just because other people like it, huh guys.

If i could wipe one thing off the face of the internet? The "it's for little girls/manly men/old people/whatever, therefore you can't watch/play/read/whatever it" mindset. I agree, MLP IS targeted to little girls. GTA, Halo and COD are targeted to guys. But that doesn't mean a guy can't watch MLP or a girl can't play GTA.

And haters. Before you go and jump to conclussions (YADDA YADDA I HAVE WATCHED THE SHOW AND I DIDN'T LIKE IT!!!!), i don't mean those who don't like MLP (or anything, for that matter) but are respectful, that's fine. I mean those who feel the need to insult anyone who likes it. Words like "furfag", "ponyfag", etc. and 4chan-like posts "ranting" about how much they hate something and its fanbase, and "trolling" people who are discussing about said thing (ex: MarkSuperCool). You have the right to be annoyed, there is popular stuff that annoys me (not giving examples), but that isn't a reason to break on others' parties and outright bash people who like something i don't.

Stereotypes as well: What would you say if i said "100% of white people are racist" (just an example, a rather extreme one but still)? Obviously, that's not true, that's stupid and it's a backwards attitude. (ok, Scrydan said it better)

And this as well. I mean, how do you ever know you hate something without even watching it?

</rant over>

e: Exactly what Scrydan said.

While I do get tired of the meme in general

TV shows aren't memes

I should have considered the possibility that this would turn into a Brony thread before I made it.

:/
The whole "arrow to the knee" meme. I used to like it, but now I just find it annoying.

I don't even play Skyrim. My older brother has a copy, but I was never interested. I was around when he was playing it, and heard that line. I guess the line is okay when it's used in the game, but when I see a comment saying "arrow to the knee", it's just annoying.
About that arrow in the knee thing...

Do people still do that even? I thought it died out months ago.

Not even close. People in my Game Design class at least use it three times a day. :/

So much that the professor requested to never do it in class. lol

Edit: And two students are making a meme card game that includes that same joke. I made a card game too (our assignment) and I have to say it looks good. But those two students are also friends of mine so yeah.

You know what I'd like to wipe off? Goddamn gifs that don't loop properly. Slowly move your head to the left and then jerk it back to the right. Feels jarring, doesn't it? That's like a gif that doesn't loop properly. I shouldn't be able to tell the start or the finish of a gif.

I think anybody who uses a bad gif is either openly or closet antichrist. I mean, bad gifs are evil, and for good reason. =\

I totally agree with this. There are much funnier, and more clever people than Fr3d, and he gets a movie!? Fr3d is just... euh. Personally, there are much more funny people out there that deserve the shot of getting money with what they do, like Daneboe or TeamFourStar.

Also, Assuming Direct Control of this thread. I'm also heavily surprised nobody has mentioned Rick Rolled yet; but I guess isn't as bad as some other things. I personally find getting Rick Rolled funny.

I actually like listening to it. I can tell when it is such a link because I always run the address into a search, never fails. I purposely go click it anyways then say, "The joke is on you, I love this."

I also made a new improvised version which is kind of cool. It is a love song to a girl friend. I am debating if it is a good idea to send it to her as a joke or not. *shrug* I never had thoughts of rick rolling anyone but meh. She usually likes silly things like this.

Well, as mentioned in another thread, I think the behavior of putting a price on everything and not caring for the good of others is just stupid and should be dropped off the face of the earth. If only we could reward work with either trading other work for that person or some kind of "Craftsmanship/Effort/Bartering" system where if you work really hard and your work shines then you get rewarded for it based on the effort and quality you show in the work. That way people like teachers who do a really excellent job of teaching gets the money they deserve and other professions. Even a janitor who works hard deserves more. This would also allow even people who are disabled to work and take care of themselves. (There's always usually something for that person to do.)

In turn, people who put a lot of work in and is in a stable condition may even do some things for free because they actually have time to live instead of struggling. This would in turn get some people to give to others more easily. I know it is tricky but where there's a will there's a way. Of course it isn't happening anytime soon - unless 2012 means the "end of the world" in the sense money will become completely worthless. If that's the case then bring it on and get something that works. Let's let people who want to work their dream job be able to instead of struggling to even get a low paying job.

I guess that's all for that little bit of a rant. I don't usually do so but it is one thing that somewhat gets me. That and the corruption this is causing in our government. The reason I feel this way is also due to the fact I love entertaining and benefiting others. Money and certain people just corrupts certain aspects of it all.

Welp, here we go again.

Every time someone says ponies in this thread kills 10,000 random innocent starving people. Good job! (I am joking of course, but it is getting a little old.)

I am going to add another one, stereo typing. There's quite a few people I know who would agree with me on this. It is just stupid. Get this, people have different views than you. So just because you see it being a 'norm' or it being a 'taboo' thing, it quite isn't. There is no such thing as normal. You can take a so called normal person and if you were to learn his/her secrets, you would find one or more of the things to be quite 'unnormal' in one sense or another. Everyone has a secret or a thing that would set them apart from quite a few people. That is what makes people so dynamic and diverse. People can agree and disagree. People can also agree to disagree.

So a person likes MLP. Okay. So a person dislikes MLP. Okay. Two fighting over how the other one is stupid because it is 'norm' or not 'norm'. Not okay! Some people just have to respect the other and not insult them at every chance they get.

Not all black guys are going to cause trouble That is completely stupid. Not all Americans are people who love to control what other countries do. Of course, there's lots of stupid people not paying attention to what their leaders do but that is a whole nother problem. Not all Asians drive bad. You may not agree with me but that's fine. You are entitled to your opinion. Just don't blurt it out on people every chance you get.

Just because something may be intended for someone else doesn't mean another race or gender can't do so as well. There is no master race or gender combination. People can say facts all day long but you know what, lots of them are completely stupid and wrong. "69% of all MLP are gay." "Books are boring and for stupid nerds." "My view of X is right because I seen it on the internet and it must be true!"

Well, I got a fact for you. 100% of people who say anything like that about anything are scared about actually joining in or they act all tough to impress their friends; some are just a negative part of society in general. And mentioning X being gay, you must be trying to cover something up related. Here's a fact I made up.

75% of everyone I talk to say something like the above and this turned out true, all in my 4 cases so it must apply to the whole world.

See how that looks stupid? It does to me. Making up random bogus facts to put down people is just wrong. Bah, I've gone on about this enough.

I am thinking of not seeing this thread anymore as it will probably lead to more stuff like this. It is downing my grove. No hard feelings but a couple of examples in this thread and what I mentioned just get me. I will admit I am annoyed and walk away. Thank you for reading and good night. I am also very tired as it is getting close to 2AM. Probably not a good idea to post at this time when I can't think that well. Oh well. Just felt like mentioning a few things; some of which may be wrong but again, just my opinions. We all have them like we all have, well if you heard the saying, you know.

If you really feel that way, technically the staff could arrange to have you banned so hard that the site only appears as a white, blank page to you when you try to go to it. Then it really would feel like it was wiped off the face of the internet, right? :) :) :)

(And yes, a ban like that really does exist, too. Not even joking ;D)

Really. What's so bad about saying "I'd wipe ponies"? He just honestly said what he would like not to see again on the internet, so what? He's not starting a flamewar or something, it's his opinion.

As noted several times, SMWC is like Hotel California - you can check out as much as you'd like but you may never leave.

e: should probably give my opinion

People that type with bad grammar and spelling. It's fine if English isn't your first language or you just don't know, but when you know perfectly well and STILL type like a 4 year old it makes you look like an idiot and is unimaginably annoying.
