Hello. I have a purple triangle to run up a wall, but everytime I attempt to run to it, it throws me through the wall and instantly kills me. Anyway to fix this? I am using a vertical level with layer 2 from Morton's castle, if this can help any further.
Make sure that you've put the tile 0x1EB below the purple triangle or it won't work properly.
Which one is 0x1EB? I see 2 different tiles showing 1E. A berry and a climbing net.
In "Direct Map 16 Access" go to page 0x100 to 0x1FF and select tile 0x1EB and then place below of your purple triangle.
Wall running is not compatible with layer 2 levels.
And the only way to fix it would be to code an entirely new routine from scratch?

Layer two messes up Slice O' Watermelon, but it is still usable in some situations. (Vip1 experience)
Layer 2 is not completely compatible with the purple triangles. That being said, there are workarounds, such as making a layer-2 compatible one to import with block tool.

Also, as a a semi-related side note, if you ever have an issue with tile 0x1EB having garbled graphics, you can find the tile, copy its behavior, and put decent graphics on it via map16. Great for people using ExGFX.
