Well, congress is trying to pass ANOTHER internet destroying bill.
"H.R. 3523". I'm not really going to describe it. It's the same BS as before, but this time the excuse is "cyber security". Here, is an article.

Why does the US government have such a hard-on to regulate the internet lately? It seems when one bill fails, another comes in with the exact same intension but with a few words rearranged and an extra paragraph. You wanna get out of debt? Then stop paying politicians an outrages amount of money for doing nothing other than trolling their country.

It's a political tactic. Assuming the US government system is anything like Australias, when a law is proposed, the members of the first house it's introduced don't have to actually read it. They just look at it, and when the title is something positive (like that one child protection thing that was basically just SOPA) they're already in favour of it. It's only until a few readings later people bother really looking into it and by that time politicians have already made up their minds.

I doubt many politicians knew what they were passing when they were in favour of SOPA and it was only until and outcry by the public that they have a brainwave and said to themselves, "wait a minute! this bill sucks!". It's a kind of sad thing regarding politics since none of the members of house are really specialised in their field but only got there by learning about past politics and were assigned their jobs later.

It's a flawed system. People take advantage of that.

Yeah, I was extremely disturbed when I found a bill being created in America that would force all legislators to read any and all bills in their entirety before voting on them, as I kinda assumed they did that to begin with. I was more disturbed by the fact that there are no congressional sponsors for that bill, and only one sponsor in the senate.
One Simpsons episode shows this, I believe...
Seriously? The U.S government needs to quit this senseless fight before all American Internet users piss and moan about the Internet coming to an end.
Another Internet destroying bill again? Oh no they won't, those bills must come to an end before the Internet get shut down.
What does the U.S. government have against the internet. They own created it, IIRC.

Don't worry, I think than as the other ones, it will fail.
Oh my, why don't they give up? Internet is for anybody not for a single guy (A single Guy = Corporate Companies).

And yes, it'll fail, internet can't be destroyed or even limited.
