So, I'm new around this place, but that doesn't exactly mean it's my first time trying to make a super mario world hack. I've been loking into learning some programming for a while, and always waanting to make my own game. Although SMW Rom Hacking isn't exactly making my own game, I see it as a good place to start. I hope one day posting threads isn't so awkward, and I also hope that one day I learn enough asm to make intresting levels for you guys. 
yay I figured out how to make a spoiler !!!
Also, if you can point me towards some basic tutorials that would be nice.

Welcome to SMWC! You'll probably find some really useful tutorials here and here. I cannot find any specific, but I know you'll can find some of these kinda interesting ^_^

D'aw there's not really a need to be shy around here if you're not an idiot, and you don't look like one after 2 posts, so hurray!
You can probably integrate yourself into the community more if you visit the IRC though, that way you won't feel like you're intruding any more.
