Alright, so, after answering a question in another topic, something popped up in my evil little mind, and I figured I should plant the seed here.
What are some quirks about people that irk you?
For me, let's start off basic. People who lie, or contradict themselves, or even force their ideas upon other people as if it were law rather than a suggestion, get under my skin. I could go into detail, but let's hear some of your pet peeves.

Anyone who treats others like dirt.
To hypothetical jackasses:
I know the waiter's paid to serve you. They're still a human being. They're probably having a shitty night and your demanding they be punctual and happy to your every whim is utterly disgusting. You should be making efforts to help them have a better night, not expect them to do that for you.

Some pet peeves of mine:
-those sandwich board wearing preacher guys that show up on campus, condemning everyone to hell. They are not easy to talk to at all and they seem to think everything is a sin.
-the whole idea of society being geared mostly toward extroverts rather than being fair to introverts.
-copyright worship

I think the big one for me is this ridiculous notion that's starting to take root nowadays that it's somehow hard to be white. You very often here people say something like "How come black comedians get to make fun of white people but if I were to say something like that about black people I'd be called racist?" and they make it sound as if white folks were being pushed into ovens or something.
I'm not a fan of political correctness but I am tired of hearing white people complain about stuff like this. I mean being white myself I personally have run into no serious problems in my life being white. Even with the political correctness of modern culture it still isn't even close to being morally equivalent to say segregation.
I live in a small town and have to listen to this point of view all the time and I'm seriously at the point where I want to beat these people with a goddamned pipe every time I hear it.

This literally just crossed my mind, but...
Don't you hate when you speak the truth about your life ie something traumatic you just went through and you're fine now, and when you talk about it in such an indifferent tone, people assume you';re trying to be badass? When in reality, you're just venting in a way where you don't wanna seem "weak" by breaking down over it--when really it's okay to--and all you're doing is relating your experience to a topic at hand. In that scenario, the topic would be traumatic experiences.
It doesn't make sense, but once you read my horrible grammar, it will.
tl;dr, people who assume you're trying to be something you're actually not trying to be.

Egotism makes my blood boil, sometimes even when it's people I know really well, although I can occasionally laugh it off when they're renowned for it. Also when people whine about others whining - ah hypocrisy~
I imagine there will be other little niggles, but I tend to just push them to one side, whereas these two just get on my nerves a little too much. Especially the first one.
