Tuned in last night for an unexpected return of Toonami?
I was shocked when I woke up at midnight and checked Adult Swim to see Tom back and the ambient space atmosphere of 2000's programming.

Stood up with some old friends until 5:00 a.m. watching classics such as Big O, Dragon Ball Z, Blue Sub#6, Gigantor and Yu Yu Hakusho. Some say this is a huge elaborate April Fool's joke, but judging by the Mass Effect 3 review and Tom's new comments, I'd say this is here to stay.

What do you guys think? I know for sure this was vastly superior to Adult Swim's current programming.

How the fuck do you center align in this website? The image look kind of stupid.

Use this:

Also given that they decided to do this on April 1st, I wouldn't be surprised if it isn't a regular thing.
If you're really interested in watching Toonami again, I recommend you check out a site called Toonami Aftermath. It is basically old Toonami shows on a pretty much constant stream.

*My Reaction*
Growing up a big fan of Toonami, I can't really say just how awesome that one day Toonami come back is. It truly is great on the part of Adult Swim, I only wish I got saw it other than the clips floating around Youtube.

I can't really see how they can fully bring Toonami back for something other than nostalgia (it probably have to take a bit modernization) but given how much of my childhood was plopped on the floor watching TOM on the Absolution, I'd love to watch it if it somehow came back over here in the UK (even if it's for a day like what happened on Adult Swim).

Well, Cartoon Network has acknowledge the demand. Let's hope this resent interest surge could convince them that we could be an good audience to target.

(Also check out NeoToonami to see how dedicated some fans are towards bringing Toonami back [/advertising])

I really hope this is a true revival, but I kinda doubt it. I would love it if tom returned though. I still have yet to watch some of these animies, and I loved to watch it [Toonami] when I was a kid.
Since when does cartoon network make good decisions?

Strange...if Toonami was truely resurrected from the catacombs, then I would SEE it. So far, I cannot spot it anywhere. Are you positive that it has came back to us?
Yes, it just hasn't relaunched yet. It's been announced and there's a page for it on the adult swim site.
Damn, that was GREAT.
I'm not a fan of Bleach or of FMA-Brotherhood, but the two new shows are alright. Especially Casshern.
I only wish I can support it here in the UK. If you can watch it though, I would suggest just turning the TV on the channel even if you don't watch it. And suggest your friends to watch it even if they never got to see Toonami as a kid. They are limited in funds and certainly need the views right now.

Exactly! With enough Nielsen ratings, CN will hopefully realize Toonami is where it's at.

It amazes me people still huddle up and watch Toonami on online streams when it's finally back.
I might record it but I have no idea if I'll like any of the shows. Guess I'll have to check sometime.

And give me Cartoon Cartoon Fridays back CN!
