Hey Guys, i'm making a new Hack, the name is Super Mario Bros. Classics, the history is undefined, i maked 4 levels and Toad's House (Beta Version), now see the old Gameplay and Toad's House Beta and Pictures of my hack:
 
 
Now, the videos of Gameplay and Toad's House:

Gameplay PT.2
New Toad's House
I has changed the Mario Pallete and the Music of the Second Level, now the Music is YI - Make Eggs, Throw Eggs.

I Like how this hack looks, but the name of the hack should be:
Super Mario Bros 3 redone.
cause the only classic i saw in there was Mario 3 :|
(oh and by the way, how do you get the P-Meter to work?! I Can't make it work at all!
if my ROM seems to have ANY ASM changes done, it just. . . doesn't work.
the ROM stops working,
soooo are you like using a better coded version of it?)

Well he isn't re-making SMB3. Just building a hack in the same style.
Anyway this looks really good! Great use of the SMB3 GFX and your levels look good.
Keep it up

Well, thanks for the comments, and for the name Classics, is for more levels inspirated in SMB (1, 2 and 3), i don't know if i should change the name of my hack, also, for the P-Meter, you need a Freespace and the SFX, you can find this here.
Edit: Please, look the videos of Gameplay and Toad's House!

Well, i have set my freespace,
i used the following patches:
Much better raccoon Mario patch
SFX While climbing
perfect breakable bricks.
to add in more SMB3, i TRIED patching "SMB3 p-meter".
but even with freespace + SFX, all it does is crashes :/

Since I already played your hack, I had to say this is awesome. The this that made me more amazed is the OW. This makes me mind I'm playing SMB3! Same goes for some levels, really very cool job.
But, the Toad's House is kinda strange, I guess you could enable the "level has been passed" option on OW to let Mario leave with Start+Select, so you could leave that level simetric, exactly as the original SMB3 bonus. In my oppinion this could look better than that.

Well, you could use the Exit by Sides sprite or do the thing that Austin said but IMO I like hacks that have the SMAS feeling, good job!

Ok, about the Toad's House, i will make extreme changes, it may take a while, but worth it, i hope.

WOW! This is a really nice looking SMAS styled hack. Your level designs look great and the ExGFX is really nice. I'm also liking the title screen and the SMB3 style overworlds.
Can't wait to see more of this hack!

Sorry for the Doule Post!
After a long time of work, i finished my Level Grassland 4, and i'm added Luigi in the Game, has two modes:
- MARIO GAME
- LUIGI GAME
Now, see the Video.
Comment the Palette and Luigi GFX.
Edit: I has added effects in the Coins.

Are you using smb3x as a baserom because the level finished tile,? blocks,parts of the levels,break block,level names,red coins,red coin counter,help blocks,old toads house,title screen and p(flying) counter are the same.
If yes that is fine with me just please remove the smb3x level parts.(Dont want to be playing a half clone of smb3x.)

This is quite the good idea,
I Hate those hacks where either 2 PLAYER GAME mode is disabled, or has no Luigi
but the Mario game / Luigi game option is something i can't wait to see

Sorry, the Hack is Cancelled. For this Motives:
- People Says: Your Hack is a Half Clone of SMB3X.
- I no have Story of my Hack.
- I Can't finish the 2 worlds of my hack before C3.

man no, You can't cancel this hack, It's already looking good,
and the Super Mario classics were my life, please continue the hack!
I Don't think it's a SMB3X ripoff, if the levels are different,
and im sure this will be the hack of the year to me!
You HAVE to keep this hack going!!

As this thread have been "highlighted", I'll disagree with the reasons of cancelling this:

So? If you can't release this on this C3, you can release in the next year. Is that simple.
Seems you aren't motivated for this hack anymore, but you can hang out a little until you get this again. But don't cancel. Seriously, it's looking awesome.
